Agree, if it is against the rules, it cannot be allowed at the Olys.
As well, how do we know this helmet addition doesn't give him some leg up over others (I doubt it but it is possible when you allow changes in equipment or rule breaks), He was allowed to wear an armband so I think that is a great compromise.
