One hit wonders who won Olympic gold but no world title: Adelina Sotnikova or Sarah Hughes?

Sarah Hughes - Looking back, her OGM was really not a surprise. She had a 2001 World bronze and two GPF medals when she showed up at SLC. Plus, Michelle firing Frank and not have a coach at all in an Olympic year was one of the most  moves ever.

BTW, G and G were my favorite pairs team at the time but I think NM and AD should have won gold.........and B and E silver and G and G bronze based on how they skated on that day

YAY for croutons, NAY for bacon bits!

More controversy! :D

The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments today in Janus vs. AFSCME regarding requirements of employees to pay union dues, even if they aren’t a union member and don’t want to join.

1) How do you think the Supreme Court will decide? They last similar case was tied 4-4 because Scalia had not been replaced yet.
Janus
or
AFSCME

2) How should the Supreme Court decide?
Janus - Employees shouldn’t be forced to pay for an organization they don’t want to join. It violates their First Amendement rights of free speech.
or
AFSCME - Unions always benefit the workplace. It doesn’t matter if employees want to be a part of them or not. They still get the benefits.

Let's add a new competition to the FS event?

How about an all around title? You compete in all four disciplines with a partner and the overall wins?

Should figure skating be more like swimming/track & field and only schedule competition for one week in the Olympics, instead of the two week spread out like they just did?

Yes, 4 days and everyone gets a day off between short and long. Oly scores/placement determines which 10 teams qualify for the team event just like the other sports. To avoid the invited skater scenario, just count the best 3 events towards the team total.

Should there be a truly random draw for short program start order?
Yes or No
