Say yes, of course and look forward to meeting the person;
Shrug and say yes/whatever and go back to what you were doing;
Say no, you would prefer to eat alone;
Lie and say no because I am expecting someone (even though you are not);
Depends on what the stranger looks like;
Lie and pretend you do not speak English and feign ignorance to the question. Speak frenetically in said language if the person sits down anyway (note that you should ensure the foreign language you pick is not spoken often where you are at (for example, do not pick French when in Canada);
