The Traitors

I'm a housewives watcher, so just know Porsha is a dumb dumb. For instance, she thought the Underground Railroad was an actual train
Rappaport fashions himself as a Housewives fan and is often on Andy Cohen's show. In reality he's a racist, misogynistic, homophobe. Like Johnny said, "I don't care what you are, I want you out of my castle"

I love this show and the cliffhangers are killing me

This is the first season I’ve watched and I’m enjoying it. I’d like to know how much time they have to talk amongst themselves every day because it seems like they should be doing a better job of figuring out the traitors lol. Do the challenges take up most of the day so they don’t have a lot of time for conversation?

One thing I find annoying is that maybe because the cast is so large that they’re actually murdering and voting off people one right after another without having much content of the TV series… It’s like they will vote somebody off and then do a murder in broad daylight five seconds later without there ever being another competition or anything else… I feel like because the cast is what 30 people? That They just keep getting people off left and right without doing much of the TV show. Thoughts?

Also, one thing I’ve been saying since episode number two is that Lisa Rinna is way too quiet so she would’ve set me off as a traitor right away because I know her and she is someone that’s going to be a loudmouth and talking with everybody and talking constantly. She barely says anything.

Colton clocked that and he seems like a good player.

I'd guess between getting to the location, being given the rules for each mission, and filming, maybe half the day is taken up with the mission. Almost all of the cast are very into fashion, etc and some of the missions are messy, so they probably take a couple hours cleaning up & in hair & makeup afterwards. I'd wager they don't have more than 2-3 hours of time to talk amongst themselves every day before the roundtable.

Last night's episode was really good, though I was hoping we'd get a 3-way tie at the roundtable. And, also, I really want Colton gone, even though he's a Faithful. He's just so smug and is playing way too hard to survive very much longer.

No way, he’s watchable, in contrast you hardly even though Johnny’s there.

He guessed some of the players wrong, but he was able to figure out that Rinna is being way way way too quiet. And he gets involved. Those the ones I like.

I like Colton just for the fact that he tagged Lisa. And her protestations seemed so fake to me that I couldn’t believe the others weren’t clocking her as well. I’d never think Colton is a traitor because he’s TOO vocal. The Faithfuls need to look around at the people who are laying low.

I agree Lisa was way too quiet at first and that's a big reason why Colton flagged her. But I don't agree that he's entertaining. As a viewer, I'm really put off by the lack of humility he's shown in his confessionals after being so badly wrong about Tiffany, Michael and Ron as Traitors.

I think they are isolated a fair bit. The UK version (filmed at the same location) makes it clear that they don't stay at the castle overnight (the US version fudges this), they are all taken to a hotel where they are isolated in their individual rooms and not allowed to socialize. I've also read that they can often be sent to separate rooms while at the castle when not filming, there's a lot of "downtime" and they're not allowed to be together all the time, plus the production time in filming the talking heads/individual sound bites and everything. And the filming of things like the round table can go on for hours, which limits the opportunity to just chat and hang out. So they're not together as much as you might think.

Editing also plays a huge role ... in a previous season several players said afterwards they all knew one person was a traitor, and they were keeping her in to the end so she would protect them but they intended to vote her out in the final round, but of course they're not going to say that on camera and even if they did the editors aren't going to show it to us.

They are not allowed to talk off camera.

They have to do all their own hair/makeup/fashion. And not in this article, but I read another one where several of them were complaining that the schedule is murrrrrrrderrrrrrr and they often have very little time to clean up and change after the challenges. It's especially hard on the Traitors, who have to be driven to the hotel every night, then driven back to the castle to shoot the turret scenes, then be driven back to the hotel. If you watched the Celebrity UK version, lack of sleep actually came up as a clue to the identity of a traitor.

They stay at the airport hotel, which makes me . The glamor!

Oh, Rob, you were doing so well and now Lisa and Candaice will be gunning for you.

I have been wondering with this large of a cast and so many of them being divas and housewives and you know from watching housewives they’re almost always running late and like how do they run this ship? They must have them signed paperwork or NDA‘s or agreements that when they need to be in the breakfast room and ready to go they need to be there no getting your make up done no overtime with glam ….. I mean Dorit from Beverly Hills and Lisa from Miami could never be cast on the show. And I’m sure glam squads are not allowed because there’s not enough room. You also have the house and room crew somewhere.

I can’t quite put my finger on why, but I am not liking this season at all. I’ve seen all the seasons of US, England, Australia, and New Zealand that have been available on Peacock, and this one is the worst. The UK Traitors was so much better than this.

Just been through the wringer watching the Finale of S4 UK. 🙈

Claudia Winkleman is an icon, glad those of you who watched Celeb Traitors UK enjoyed it. I knew of most of them and as a tenous claim to fame, I went to school with and still chat to Cat’s uncle on Facebook regularly. The winner of Celeb UK was very unexpected

Going to start on Traitors Ireland tomorrow as it’s just dropped on iplayer
:cheer2:

I don’t like Colton.

I am finding it hard to get past how he stalked and harassed his Bachelor final rose choice after she dumped him and then blamed his bad behaviour on being closeted.

I also didn’t like how he “tried to take Lisa hostage” to get her to break the rules of the game and then when she lashes out says that was the “Real Housewife” he was expecting.

And then says to the room to murder him tonight because he is going to win all the shields so he can’t be murdered anymore never realizing that he is in more danger of being banished than murdered.

In other words, I think he’s an ass and hope they banish him next week.

Yes, he was a closeted gay man, I just can’t fathom that stuff that I’ve heard about it but I’m like… I don’t know I guess I’ve never really truly been closeted… I mean at school as a kid yes but that I can’t imagine doing that to anyone, but even to a woman as a closeted gay man. Anyways, a conversation for another day.

So I just finished UK Traitors Season 4.

Wow that was a good season. I really liked that they chose regular people
as opposed to past reality show contestants.

Having now completely watched Seasons 2, 3 of US Traitors, UK Celebrity Traitors and Season 4, Canada Season 3 and currently watching US Season 4, a fun fact is that the missions are similar (sometimes the same ones). Season 4 UK and Season 4 US are tracking closely with the missions used.

Unfortunately only Season 3 US has the dolls at the cabin mission which was hysterically funny. Wish they would bring that one back. Tom was so funny doing that one.

Both Season 4 US and UK feature a Secret Traitor.

I guessed their identity correctly on both of them from the minute they were selected.

Not sure what that says about me. Probably nothing good.

Traitors Season 3 UK also had the cabin mission with the dolls. The US and UK seasons tend to mirror each other pretty closely (although the challenges aren't always in the same order), they film at the same location and I think usually film back to back, so the challenges are all already set up and everything. The other international versions use some of the same challenge themes (different filming locations), but also have a bunch of different ones.
