Yes! Here is a photo of the original message card.

What a wonderful inspiration Shoma is, to the graduates from NICU and their parents! I also loved it was his strong will to send this message to the NICU graduates' party.

Go Shoma/his family and NICU graduates/their family! :cheer2::respec::cheer2:

Since his message is so wonderful/touching, I wish people, especially people who have any small-born children in their family, will read it here on this thread. (translation credit to the twitter user) Actually my daughter was born even a bit smaller than Shoma. His message is so much encouraging for me and my whole family. Thanks Shoma!

To all of you who are doing your best for raising children.

When I heard about this group which the children born like me would participate, I wanted to send a telegram to tell my support to them.

21 years ago, I was born small, my body weight was only 900g. I owe it what I am today to my parents’ positive support and their love. My parents were always worried about me, because I was developed so slowly. I started talking late, however, I remember a little of my early childhood. Please enjoy with your child’s growth.

They were born small, but, please don’t take it as their handicap but as their personality. I think a mother's smile is a memorable one for children.

I was told that it was enough to be alive when I was born, but now I am growing up as an athlete. I will support their future possibilities.

“To all of you who are doing your best for raising children” reminds me of listening to the great Hugh Herr, who enables millions to walk again, in an interview this summer, in which he ended by giving the listeners a life advice: The greatest contribution everyone of us can make to humanity is to have and raise good kids.

Does Shoma reveal anything interesting in this interview?

Interview after SP.
Q: Looking back today's SP?
Shoma: Talking briefly it was not good. I could not help but thinking negatively. It affected my performance.

Q: Are there any influence of being coach-less?
Shoma: I don't know. If this [poor] condition continues too long, I would conclude that going coach-less is too difficult. But, after this competition, things can change at next competition. It depends on the results in competitions coming in the future.

Q: Are you thinking about working with a main coach again in the future?
Shoma: (I can announce it) after the beginning of next year. I wish you all wait until the beginning of next year.

Q: Do you think you were helped by your music in SP?
Shoma: I was helped by the crowd today. They also gave me big applause during official practices where I did poorly on jumps. Even though I made such many mistakes on jumps, I was given such great applause. Comparing to the lots of competitions where I skated in the past I can tell you that I got quite big support here... they tried to give me support as much as possible and their support reached me. "Truly grateful to them" I felt. I wished I could have given back to their support today.

__

Sounds Shoma has any plan to announce his new main coach in the beginning of January. I wish he'll work with a main coach as soon as possible considering his jumps are not working and also he continues failing in receiving levels for spins and stsq.

Another article about his "negative thinking"
(my rough translation of the excerpts)
Shoma: When I asked myself a simple question "What kind of training should I do to improve my jumps?", I thought I should just work on jumps (during training). Even though I did so, it didn't work. I was puzzled with that and it made me questioning "Why can't I jump?" And then all my thoughts went negative. Even just before starting my program, I was not able to feel that it was the time to start my performance. The feelings "I don't want to perform" overwhelmed me. When I noticed, I had somewhat landed my 4F. But it didn't mean I got better confidence from that. I made mistakes on both of the two jumps in the second half.

Shoma: In FS I want to do both 4T and 3A successfully even if at the expense of 4F.

Shoma needs to hire Arutunian as his coach but can he coach both Nathan and Shoma?

That was actually quite nice moment when Rafael handled him flowers and a plushie in Kiss and Cry 😍

At this point I just wish he gets a coach ASAP, or if he needs to wait for the new one to January, he should go back to Mihoko until December, if the split was really that amicable as they were selling it.

I think he needs a coach ASAP. It does not make sense to wait until January unless he is planning to interview multiple coaches in the mean time.

He is so talented! It breaks my heart to see him go through this.

I don't think Shoma needs our coach suggestions. Sometimes skaters have to go through rough times to improve and/or grow as human beings. Let's just hope this rough time won't last too long, for his sake. Stay strong, Shoma fans!

Well, I just have to echo everyone’s hopes that Shoma gets a new coach ASAP. He can’t go on like this, I’m worried he will get injured with these horrendous falls (not to mention lose all confidence in himself). Obviously only he can solve this situation, but I wonder if he should consider withdrawing from his next GP event. 😟. Watching today, I kept thinking back to the times when I’ve seen him live and he was so magnificent (2015 Skate America, last winter’s 4CCs) and wondering what has happened. 😟

I am surprised by his struggles. Other skaters who competed without a coach (e.g. Kwan 2002) had a drop off in performance but not as much as Shoma. Feedback and support are so important in making corrections and improving.

I felt sad watching him sit without a coach in the K&C.

I felt so sorry for him. He looked so helpless! He is like a cute little teddy bear and I just wanted to hug and comfort him. i hope he finds a suitable coach soon. All skaters (and everyone else) go through difficult periods in life and maybe this is not his year but I hope he is not discouraged by it and ends his career. I have never had the pleasure or watching him live but I hope to do so at Worlds in Stockholm in 2021 so please Shoma! Get a coach and keep going!

At least he'll not stay alone between here and next competition. 👏
Stephane is no jump specialist, but I’m sure he can be the right guy to turn Shoma’s mindset around a little bit (whatever’s possible in such a short period of time). Stephane is so friendly and always so positive. A good environment to be in. All the best vibes to Shoma💪🏻
