Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr., Don Williams, Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, Kris Kristofferson, Dolly Parton, Jessi Colter etc, etc. All old school and some may not be around a lot longer.

Rising country music singer #AllAmericanBoy Steve Grand is out, 'done playing it safe' - http://lgbtq.me/1abMjpa - @SteveGrandMusic
I agree Big Eden is worth the watch, however, I did not have the same reaction as most people I've talked to about this movie. I didn't like it at all. I just don't understand how the lead was the object of affection for not one, but two guys (one even questioning his heterosexuality for him). Superficial reasons aside, personality-wise he wasn't bringing much to the table. Why did he have such a following in this town? Also, with Pike being such an introvert (unfortunately kind of creepily at times) and having very little interaction with Henry, I found myself wondering if these two do get together, what would they even talk about? I didn't see any chemistry there at all.Yes! BIG EDEN.
It's the best gay movie I've ever seen. For once it's not about 20 year old twinks with perfect bodies having sex. It's about relationships and intimacy and, even better, it's a romantic comedy with a happy ending. Set in a small town in Montana--sort of a happy version of Brokeback Mountain. Here's a short video with the director, Thomas Bezucha, talking about his inspiration for the film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYi0uvYFWw8
Definitely worth the watch for all gay people, of every age, race, shape and size. Happy Pride!

So Father Scalia considers himself an "ex-gay"? It's hard to tell from the article.

Steve Grand, whose "All-American Boy" video has gone viral since being posted to YouTube last week, performed the song at Chicago's The Joynt on Saturday, and talked a bit about making the video and the response he has received (it has been viewed nearly half a million times).
Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...
Some media outlets are claiming Grand is the first openly gay country singer, and while he may be one of the first, that would be ignoring Canadian country singer Drake Jensen.
Incidentally, some of you longtime readers may have recognized Grand as 'Steve Starchild'. We posted his cover of Lady Gaga's "Marry the Night" back in January.
Others may have recognized him from various 'modeling' gigs (also under the names Finn Diesel and Steve Chatham).
Check out some of his modeling shots as well as the Chicago performance, AFTER THE JUMP...**
For his high school prom in 1942, Robert Clement bought a white orchid corsage in a fancy plastic box.
He gave it to a female staff member who organized the dance. Others would think it was a kind gesture, that he was just a considerate young man. In truth, Clement didn't have anyone else to give it to.
He liked boys. And he couldn't take a boy to the prom. Especially not seven decades ago in a small town in Pennsylvania.
"Proms are a rite of passage," Clement said. "A heterosexual rite of passage.... But it wasn't mine."
Last weekend, just one day after gay marriage became legal once more in California, Clement found himself getting dressed up for the prom again — the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center's senior prom.
He's 88 now. He has thinning gray hair and wrinkles around his blue eyes. And a party shirt.
An hour before the prom in Hollywood on Saturday, the soft-spoken World War II veteran changed into "a very fancy shirt — my fake Versace." It was blue and silky, with a gold chariot on the back. A bit of a splurge, he admitted.
He looked forward to hugging old friends. Enjoying the music. He might dance a little, though he's "never been quite a keen dancer."
That would have been his partner of 44 years, whose waltzes were breathtaking. In September, John Darcy Noble will have been dead 10 years.
Clement lights up when he talks about Noble. He smiles, sadly and sweetly.
"I would have been with the most popular guy at the dance."

The Business of Fancydancing? For once it's refreshing to see a native American in a gay film as the lead! Can anyone name another gay film where the lead is a native American man? *crickets* *crickets*
