:lol: :respec: I've been having a blast reading Adam Rippon's recent posts on Twitter (everything from Adam joking with his Mom; Adam's reflective and outspoken posts against Trump's biased turning back the clock; Adam's sharp retorts to trolls; Adam retweeting others' funny, informative & thought-provoking posts; Adam updating followers on his rehab progress; young pics of Adam in Christmas plays (is the Angels pic a portrait of Adam and his siblings?); Adam as a young baseball prodigy; cat adoption posters with the adoptees' likes and dislikes :cat:-- it's too funny that Adam tags himself as the calico cat who dislikes 'birds' :rofl:).

Looks like Adam has a lot of time on his hands lately. ;) Thanks AdaRipp for sharing some of your memories, and what you're thinking about these days, with such wit, wisdom, and humor. :saint:

The clip of Adam rehabbing on what looks to be a zero gravity treadmill is fantastico. :encore: This treadmill I learned about a few years ago: it was developed by NASA. So there are a lot of discoveries and new technologies that come to the fore in connection with space exploration. :)


BTW, the post with pics of the Brazilian woman who had her own funeral enacted while she's still alive, is like Whaaat? :eek:

I would say I’m about 75 [percent]. I still am limited in what I can do regarding my left foot. But I am skating every day. I’m doing flip, loop and Lutz. I still haven’t done an Axel, a Sal[chow] or a toe. I’m on the right track. Just being on the ice makes me feel confident that I’ll able to be at 100 percent very soon.

I’ve never taken more than maybe five or 10 days off, ever. In my whole life, ever since starting to skate. Taking three months off was definitely a humbling experience. But not having taken any of that time off for 17 years, I think maybe it was needed and necessary. I was able to deal with a few small injuries, little nagging things, and I was able to get a nice core base of strength because I had been doing all those strengthening exercises. I feel strong. I feel mature. I think being a little bit older and wiser, I know to be patient and take my time. I’m confident in what I need to get done and what I need to do. I’m confident that I’ll be in shape and 100 percent when it counts.

^^^ I thought his interview in the Windy City Times (Chicago's weekly LGBT newspaper) was a good read. On the topic of advocacy within the LGBT community, he mentioned that he's "reached out to You Can Play and I'm in the preliminary stages of getting involved with that organization and I'll be reaching out to Athlete Ally in the coming weeks."

Adam with the kitten is toooo cute! I wonder if anyone did adopt any of the animals used for the photo shoot? Ashley sure seemed to be taken with the pugs and the piglet. :) The golden retriever puppy also seemed to be a big hit!

Best of luck to Adam! I'm glad to hear that he's retaining his Arrival of the Birds/Fly On fp for the Olympic season!

I just haven't watched skating enough over these last several years to get my head aound that Adam has grown up and isn't that roly-poly kid with angel hair curls atop his head! I have to look 3 or 4 times each performance to see that kid I once knew! :rolleyes: :yikes: :duh:

He is now healed enough that he’s back to training at nearly 100 percent, though he watches out for repetition of certain elements that might stress his foot too much. Even with that stipulation, he doesn’t feel as if he’s being held back in his preparation for what will be his most important season yet.
“There’s so much to practice all the time that I can always find something to work on and improve,” said Rippon, who hopes to make the 2018 Olympic team.

So, this is about the 5th or 6th news source Ive seen this new "Adam coming out was best decision" article in there past 5 days so thought I would finally post about it

I posted that article on Facebook and they TOOK IT DOWN. Apparently those topless photos of Adam are a violation of FB's policy on nudity. Can you believe???
