It sounds like Scott’s staying in Montreal to learn about coaching and supporting athletes outside the rink with a view to moving back to Southern Ontario to be closer to family. It’s barely been 2 months since the Olympics, so it’s doubtful that he’s decided whether he wants to be part of a pre-existing program or start a new school.

Love that photo of Tessa with Elvis !!

Icenetwork will announce its choice for 2017-18 Person of the Year later this month. Here's one of the nominations for that honor from icenetwork contributor Lynn Rutherford.

I’m greedy I want to see them all. My tickets are for Vancouver. They are on ice tickets numbers 1 & 2
I will hopefully use my on ice tickets in Toronto. I say hope because I am scared about the raptors advancing and my show being on the hopper.

They could have to reschedule though. The Raptors would get priority if they need it that night to make the NBA schedule work. It's easier now that the Leafs are out though.
They may have it thursday which would be ok with me.

It is probably that. Whatever steps he takes (coaching at Ilderton, working with MF/P and B2Ten, etc) is perhaps with the intention to open his own school one day.

Yeah, he can’t really devote himself to full time coaching with their mad touring schedules in the months ahead, but the prospect of his own school in the future is exciting!

Watching the fancams of all the Olympic FDs reminds me than I’m still very slightly salty they didn’t win that segment too. The view from above only makes it that much clearer that their ice coverage and ability to weave seamlessly in and out of complex holds is on another planet. But I really can’t complain as it all worked out in the end, thank heavens :) It must have been so gratifying to hear that totally spontaneous roar from the crowd at the end.

Just back from the show and it was SO awesome.

Tessa and Scott stole the show. They are the best.

They are True National Treasures and the standing ovation before they even skated just reiterates that.

I didn't watch any of their exhibitions leading up to this because I didn't want to have preconceived notions going into it and I'm so glad I waited to see their performances live.

I loved their "Rock Your Body" program. No one moves like they do and this really shows off that aspect of their skating.

Also it was great to see the Moulin Rouge program. The crowd went wild for it.

I also enjoyed their group numbers. Two in particular were mind blowing.

One is a number that Kaitlyn Weaver, Andrew Poje and Tessa skate together. For about one minute Andrew and Tessa ice dance together.

It was so beautiful that it gave me goosebumps but the little person in my head was screaming "no!" because it felt so wrong to see them together and not with their partners... :shuffle:

The other number was set in a club and featured Tessa and Scott, Andrew and Kaitlyn, and Meghan and Eric. The song they skated/danced to was Ed Sheeran "Shape of You."

That was one of the biggest mind messes ever as we are so used to seeing P/C skate to that song.

I think choreographer Jeff Buttle must be playing a joke on us all to have V/M skate to that particular music.

Of course, Tessa and Scott nailed it. :encore:

You could tell that they were having a blast performing everything tonight and totally enjoying themselves.

So nice to see.... :40beers:
