Boy, that must have been so hard.
It’s politics. Ice dance has always been like this.
Interesting how Sharon Rogers really hammered V&M in the scores. Anyway, the PCS marks should not be anywhere as close as they are between the two teams. Actually, if it were judged fairly, H&D and the Shibs should be ahead of P&C given what went on on the ice.
I think till now considering the fact that 3/4 of the panel was against VM we had pretty good luckSo terrified that the Canadian judge will have the bad luck of being off the FD panel..
I can see with our luck the Canadian being gone & FRA/RUSS/US still being on the FD panel..if that happens we are totally ****ed..
I think till now considering the fact that 3/4 of the panel was against VM we had pretty good luckalso they drew last. Hold on, wait to freak out. I don't know why I'm being so positive but that's the fisrt time this season I believe they can do it. Prayer circle for the panel draw
like for the SD is gonna be less than one hour before the eventWhen is it?
Unfortunately not. However, this NBC one is great because you can see DL watching the SD https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w0L47Bpl22jBLkgUaDpx_7hUf6IEMzLF/viewGonna ask again..forgive me lol but does awnyone have the BBC or ESP coverage of the SD?
Why would it be hard?
you have the nerve to call us mentally ill
when I have seen the most deranged comments from french P/C ubers telling tessa to die and madi fat yet I have seen you yet to condemn them.
mods don't call fans of another team they don't like "mentally ill"
do your job.
Anyone else notice how the audience reaction was very muted for everyone but V&M..I found it interesting how the audience even seemed to know..is this a comp? Really? lol
I had expected P/C's score to be in high 70s because they were off on the twizzles and did not seem sharp (this is before I even knew about the outfit problems). But... there you go. Higher score than even V/M in the Team Event.
ShibSibs though? Wow. Shocked they were not placed ahead of H/D.
The obsessive V/M we know well and love (and look at the perfect unison on the twizzles in that first picture!):

Quote from article: "Moir said that after the team event their coaches “tore apart the tape,” to unearth anything that wasn’t top notch.
“We knew right after both of our performances that we could do better,” Moir said. “We were really trying to drive the power and speed more today, we knew we’d need that against the French. We’re in great shape. We feel good. We feel like we have more power in our blade, we have more power in our knee than we’ve ever had and we want to showcase that.” "
From the personality you have revealed on this site words like that must have have stuck in craw...Why would it be hard?

Same here. To me it's amazing that in an Olympic sport cheaters can openly cheat and everyone just has to accept it and even does. I mean I watched the SD on three different channels in my country and the commentators on all three broadcasts talked about the mistakes P/C made, explained them and expected Tessa and Scott to be the clear leaders and then it was just like "Ok, that's their score. It will be close." They said in the end it comes down to which style you prefer. I mean wtf? I thought ice dance is a sport? I'm not watching "Schwanensee" from different ballet companies and decide which one I like better. These skaters have trained for years, it's about a lot of money, future opportunities and reputation. And then we have to accept that it comes down to bribery, arrangements between federations and even revenge. Well done ISU. I also wonder, why aren't the judges interviewed afterwards? I mean in soccer the referees have to explain their decisions. Why doesn't it happen in figure skating? I think it could help to make them more accountable if they face public scrutiny after a competition. All the above posts aside, I'm still trying to figure out how P/C are in second place.
On a different note, there's a celebrity fashion gossipy website I go to called Gofugyourself, and the moderators are in love with V/M. One of them just posted on twitter "I decided they refuse to bang while actively skating bc it might zap the sexual tension, so every routine is their substitute banging." lol
They're also doing skating fashion recaps (they do it every year after US nationals, and after O's and Worlds). So far they've done their recaps for pairs and for men.
Yep. Their first ever post about V/M included the commentHa I love their fashion recaps. Read them for years, they've been shipping them since Vancouver.
