@Golden1 - so agree. I'm stunned how genius MR is. Thanks, David Wilson and others! The program allows them to express their passion, display their incredible connection, lines, etc. I think I like the "come what may" portion even more than the beginning. It'll be interesting to see how it evolves over the next months.

They main question is could they improved there score? Not a lot room for grow in PCS and with Molina in tech pannel I doubt they will get max levels in SD. Hope he will not be at GPF and OG?

What's this about? A judge cheating with V&M? Big shocker..
So Molina is a TC & will be at NHK? Lol well expect low marks for V&M then I guess..they will never let them break the WR this soon after P&C set it I bet..

Also what time do V&M skate their SD?

At least Sharon Rogers from the US is not here judging..She always gives V/M 8.75 for skating skills and the other marks are nothing to write home about.
Dance starts at 10:45pm EST. tonight...Japan time Nov 11 12:45pm. They are 14 hrs ahead of MTL.. Where are you located? It starts 5 hrs from now.

I think this needs to be said :

First, there is no cheating. Second, Molina knows Romain who is one of V/M's coach. Now, Molina is the TC, who steps in only if the TS (the one who decides the levels) from Ukraine this time, and the ATS from Japan cannot agree.

Also, I reserve my judgment. If I believe V/M are being lowballed, I'll definitely say it. But I don't want anyone to take this as an excuse if there isn't everything level 4. I think everyone can understand, I'll say the same about ANY other team.
I know a TC from France isn't ideal, but another big issue was that the TS at SCI was Canadian. So if they were given a level too high and they don't get it now, people are going to be angry. I believe they were given correctly in the Free (2 levels 3, one was maybe because of the bobble on the twizzle, maybe not, but it could not be level 4 definitely) however, the PSt in the SD is probably THE hardest element to judge. They got level 4 two weeks ago, we'll see today.

Let's not see the scores (it cannot be compared from one competition to the other), let's see the levels and more importantly, let's see the skating.
They know how to rock it, I'm not worried. And like every single competition, I hope for fair judging (Like I said, I won't accept them being lowballed if it's the case).

I wish the absolute best to them in a few hours !! :cheer2::gallopin1 Have fun everyone !
PS : the SD is at 12:45 Osaka Time, so in 4 hours and 20 minutes.

I am in the Toronto area so I guess V&M will be on really late here or early Sat morning lol

Honest to god if this Sharon Rogers ALWAYS does this & low balls V&M WHY is she not brought up for her obvious bs cheating??

Toronto area is EST, so 10:45 pm for the first warmup group to come out, 11:25 for the second warmup group and V/M are supposed to go at about 11:45.

My best guess is they will be on at midnight or a bit before, Pairs start at 12:35
I believe SR has had it in for them since DW.....Apparently her opinion really counts & some people say she must be spotting something no one else is.

Clearly her opinion doesn't count & no she isn't spotting something no one else is..that's like the complete idiots from Lillihammer when they gave Torvill & Dean the bronze..the bronze?? They judges said they didn't have the skate of the night & it was not that difficult..which just proved that those judges were complete morons who NEVER should have been allowed to judge again..

Btw..thanks for letting me know their time!

Basically you're saying the Canadian TS gave the correct calls yet it's a big issue. Instead the French TC is no issue, how are you so sure there will be no lowballing? I find your comments are coming off a bit strange.

Also, P/C's FD got two elements adjusted to level 4 at last minutes, namely the ss and straight line lift. That's how they got the WR. Yet people pretend nothing happens. Of course it's no big issue. Oh, the double standards.

What will be will be. I don't think it helps anyone, least of all V/M, to be freaking out. All it does is make others blinded by their own biases feel superior and mock everyone in this thread. By extension that negativity they feel extends to how they view V/M and again I don't think that helps them.

Just think positivity might create more positive karma than not...

I have no intention to start an argument here. Just wish the so called dual fans stick with the same standard, otherwise plz go to another thread to lecture. I'm fed up with this nonsense.

Let's have some positive vibes sending V/M's way. I'm going to enjoy V/M's performance this weekend.

No no, don't jump to conclusions, I'm saying that we don't always understand level 3 or 4. I'm just saying there is this mini possibility that the TS gave 4 when another would have given a 3 (That's always a possibility, and since some judges can be country biased, it could have happened here, but I'm obvisously not saying it did). And I'll see V/M's SD today before I judge anything of course.
I just don't want either way to be an excuse for people with their favourite to complain. That's understandable.
But the SD is 30 minutes away, so let's cheer on the skaters first !!

Anybody manage to catch the gala on TSN tonight? Completely forgot it, got home from work and was caught the last 15 mins...ie: Tessa and Scott skating.

Got a question. Shouldn't V/M's twizzle be level 4? The third set shouldn't affect the level. So why level 3 here?

It was always going to be hard to top the Skate Canada performance but they seemed a bit off throughout the program.
Better here than at the GPF, I guess.

But the rule says the first two set decide the level. Why the panel not follow the rule here?
That's not the rule. To get a level 4 they must get one feature from each group. For group C they've chose an additional set:
Group C (pattern, entry, exit):

both partners perform a third Twizzle of at least 3 rotations, performed correctly, started with
different entry edge than the first two Twizzles, and preceded by a maximum of one step for
Set of Sequential Twizzles or a maximum of three steps for Set of Synchronized Twizzles;

Their No touch mid-line sequence scored 11.9.

They lost a level on the twizzles. That stumble at the end seems to have cost them. But otherwise, this was wonderfully executed. Without that one L3, they would have beat their SCI score I think.
