For me a key characteristic of a proper :gallopin1-POTS is a skater’s reasonable aspiration for greatness falling to pieces — Pogo and Cave-in both had that in spades. This year we’ve got a lot of nominees who would be middle-of-the-pack even if they had skated well, or else have been skating badly so long that it’s no longer surprising.

That's why you should vote for Honda ;)

Eisenbauer vs Klepoch!
@Vagabond the dilemma fo you!

You campaigned so hard all season!
Dare you giving another vote! :D
I am amazed that you are allowing a vote on this. I thought you were going to give 🥇 to Marin Honda by fiat.

Klepoch, unlike most of the nominees, is in the Top 44 on the Season Best Scores list and stands a very good chance of getting not just one, but two Grand Prix invitations! ;) He is worthy of serious consideration even by your strict standards.

I am looking forward to watching all the nominated performances. :)

:watch: 🤔

Pace @Colonel Green I think this year's competition is at a high level. Even so, unusual circumstances make for unusual results.

Valentin Eisenbauer: Bold, unusual splats. Skating skills and performance quality not up to Klepoch's. Pass! 🤷‍♂️
Hanna Harrell: A disaster, to be sure, but a boring disaster.
Minerva Fabienne Hase / Nolan Seegert: More failed lifts in just one program than I think I have ever seen before. :gallopin1
Marin Honda: So clean, so precise, so beautiful, so screwed up! :gallopin1
Marco Klepoch: There is a point in the middle of the program where he realizes that the rest of it is going to be just as bad as the beginning and that there is nothing he can do to prevent it. At least he could laugh it off. GP host Federations that want to boost their Men's chances must be dying to have him! :gallopin1
Alexei Krasnozhon: Kras at his most Kras-ish. :yikes:
Nikolaj Majorov: A good, solid patch of :gallopin1 after a crisp opening. His coach is all  and 🤷‍♀️. Are we sure that he's Alexander Majorov's kid brother and not Adam Rippon's?
Sena Miyake: Deserves to be here only because of the ending. :yikes:
Jenni Saarinen: So much to like. Pity about the splats. :(
Elizaveta Zhuk / Martin Bidar: "It's evident/ the art of losing’s not too hard to master/ though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster." -- Elizabeth Bishop. :COP:
Stanislava Konstantinova: There's more than one poster slipping off the wall, bossman. :barrel

Eisenbauer trainwrecky in so many ways. The splats, the wild technique, the MESS-nominee, the outfit that has zero to do with the music and contains the totally distracting shirt flying in all directions.... a worthy candidate indeed!

Most trainwrecky about Hanna Harrel is actually the commentary. Tara who keeps insisting on that it's no big deal to just stop doing the Rippon-jumps even if you're used to doing only Rippons, and Johnny who proclaims -5 is "total disaster". That's what this award is about.

Hase/Seegert at least wasn't skating to The house of rising sun....

Klepoch is epic. He might get my vote. Two of those falls should have made MESS

(((Saarinen))) (((Majorov))) it was so painful watching them at worlds I can't vote for them.

Aleksei K. hurts too much watching because he's he owes finesse and his spins (especially the camel) is abysmal. Breaks no hearts.

Stasia I feel a cosmic connection with, as we have about the same outfit, and are doing about the same jump content. #1z4ever

I can't believe that almost half the votes are going to a program without any splats! If she lurks here, Marilu Guarnieri must be rolling her eyes!

While I think that Honda's performance is quite remarkable, I can't bring myself to vote in a poll that left out Vincent Zhou's :yikes: from Worlds.
