I think it's worse than Music...I just don't get why they have to go with one classical programme and one utter dreck. And I also wish the longer programme was the classical one.

There's just no point in wishing they'd choose two good pieces of music to skate to now. I don't think Bolero will suit them either unless they really do something special with the music it can make boring even more boring...

The part about it being an opera cover is not auto-translated, Samokhvalov wrote it in English. Somehow I missed that at first glance. :lol:

I'm not a fan of opera or pop-opera covers, but I'll take it over 70s schmaltz.

I can see Bolero working, as long as it's not like Savchenko/Szolkowy's Bolero. :yikes:

I am ok with using Bolero for SP. why can’t they just skate to classical music? It suits them. May be they hate classical music but so did B&S. Yet they created masterpieces with it. It is hard for me to be optimistic about T&M, though I still love their skating.
 
Hmm, I’m excited about Bolero because I think it will go well with their powerful skating style. As long as they don’t use a funky version of it, it should be nice.

As for the free skate music, I think it’ll be fine if it’s a modern-sounding cover version, but the original does sound dated. However, I’ve seen people create masterpieces out of much stranger music, and I trust Charlie White. So I will hold my tongue until the test skates are finished.

I like it! I think getting a new choreographer was a great idea and it paid off. They just look like the program suits them.
 
I was more worried that they would use the muppets playing kazoo version of Bolero that Savchenko/Szolkowy had. :lol: But that is more potential Mozer nonsense than Marina.

Anyways. Loved it. Yay. :cheer2: Bombastic classical is just their thing.

Here is a link to the TV broadcast, I think. They have loads of videos.I was kinda nervous about this but I love it. I love the new lift and exit, the mile long throw, the sky high twist. Brilliant.

On a separate note the audience were amazing to everyone. It’s kinda crazy, a packed house, plenty of standing O’s, skaters in their training gear, and everyone loving it. Roll on the free skates.

Clearly all this excitement is making my brain foggy!
I believe the videos are getting blocked because it’s a copyrighted stream.
 
Yes, the Russian Channel One owns the stream and have been pulling down videos. Luckily for the rest of the world, they have been uploading the videos to their own YouTube Channel. The uploads are like 20 hours behind the action, but it's better than never seeing them without an IPN!

Oh thanks :) sometimes when my friends and I are joking around on Twitter, one of them will tweet “you’re blocked!” as a joke to say she doesn’t agree with what I’m saying LOL
