For those people (there must be one or two, somewhere) who didn't get enough Tara during the US Nationals.

Ashley won silver at last year's Nationals, went to Worlds, and won bronze medal at a Grand Prix event in 2017. Compare that to Mirai's BOW in 2017, 4th at Nationals, and a medal at 4 CCs. I think there would have been a major uproar had they sent Ashley instead of Mirai.Interesting, but what is Tara talking about saying, "They would have had to take Mirai off the team for Ashley again." I don't get what she's trying to say. Even Ashley concedes the others should go. If there was going to be any examination of BOW between Ashley and the others, it wouldn't go against Mirai. .

Probably.I feel like I would have felt this tread more in a month.

Karen was gold medalist at Nationals and 4th at Worlds in 2017, so that is a better BOW than Ashley.
That said, I am SO glad Mirai is going to the Olympics.
USFS is only using BOW as an excuse as well as a hammer, apparently. They apply it (harshly) if and when they wish to do so. As far as Mirai vs Ashley, let's face it that Ashley overall does not have the degree of talent Mirai possesses, although it is rather a wash in terms of recent hardware results, with maybe an edge for Ashley. But I say, actually look at their recent performances. Mirai's 3-axel weapon is huge, even despite Mirai needing to consistently tame URs and improve her focus on presentation. But in any case, the sport rewards technical expertise more than presentation. USFS was never going to remove Mirai for anyone once she skated as well as she did. Being on the podium was Mirai's to lose, and she didn't this year.
It is rather funny how the media likes to discuss Olympic athletes and Olympic team selections in the lead up to the Olympics (especially with broadcast announcers who are former Olympians).
Is it really necessary to do the body of work debate in Little Miss Tara’ promotion plan thread.
But if we beat that horse to death maybe somebody will change their mind
You're obviously in the wrong thread. Or maybe you'd like to start a new one.![]()

Forget about a sense of the ridiculous.
