Stars on Ice U.S. 2018

She really is beautiful skating with Zach and Madison. She moves so differently that even if you're all about Maia and Alex as a team going forward, you have to wonder how differently she would move if she skated with a non-sibling.

There's the same moment in the Canadian SOI with Tessa Virtue and Andrew Poje - just as stunning! https://youtu.be/KIKoati512s

It's really awesome to compare the different casts in group numbers like these just to see how each person personalizes it and puts their own spin on it.

Several video clips, filmed on the ice by former competitive ice dancer Jordan Cowan, from the Hartford pre-show practice on April 22 have been posted on his "oniceperspectives" Instagram account:

Nice brief article. Funny that Nathan is quoted saying being from a Chinese family, he didn't really think he'd make it to the Olympics. Maybe he was referring to the days before he started winning all the competitions.

I found it more like education came first in his family and he never thought of Olympics as the highest priority.

Actually, H/D are probably not the best example for me. During both of their SOI programs, I found myself, not exactly yawning, but sort of thinking, well I don’t need to see that a second time. Just my opinion, and different strokes and all that....:D

I do not think it is “easy” to do a good job with a flirty program. But I was comparing Bradie’s programs to the other USA SOI programs, most of which were heavy on the sex and sass. By the same token, I think it is difficult to sell Cinderella compared to those programs, I think Bradie did sell Cinderella, and did it well in the show I attended.

Just one gal’s opinion.....

I’m pretty sure she coukd not pull off a sexy, sassy program. So why would she do one? It would be embarrassing, probably.

And also because she doesn’t need to. :D I remember when I saw Bradie’s SP for the first time at Philly International last summer, and I thought, how wonderful, how unique, strong unusual music and she is convincingly portraying a strong, confident woman.

Myself, I’ll take that over sex kitten any time. Embarrassing or not.

I think Bradie could do sassy -- she's tough, just needs to embrace that toughness and show it in her skating. I was impressed by her performance at SOI -- her packaging (hair, makeup) was better and I thought she held her own with the other ladies. I bought her Cinderella much more than Karen's sexy number.

I don't think this was posted before?

Jason practicing Room Where It Happens, as filmed by OnIce Perspectives before the Portland show, about a minute's worth (including Click Boom!)

Thanks - this was posted after my compilation of Jordan Cowan's IG video links in post #306. Jordan posted this Meryl/Charlie lift clip yesterday (and Jordan replies in the comments that there's more to come): https://www.instagram.com/p/BjZofXilkRN/?taken-by=oniceperspectives

I noticed today that 13 programs from the second half of the April 22nd Hartford show were uploaded 3 days ago and added to this playlist (in program order): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLy2NR-4toIMMHc22drXfBr0xeMEzaDpNe
Unfortunately Jason's Hamilton (#3) & Adam's Remedy (#7) in the first half won't play due to music copyright.
Madison/Zach/Maia's interlude (after Ashley's La La Land) to "Where's My Love" by Syml is included: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KtYmup4DbQ
