I fast forwarded through ice dancing and am now live with the pairs but will miss at least the first group of ladies  - real life can be annoying but happy to be here live :cheer: with all of you.

2024-25 and 2025-26 SP SBs for the teams competing -

Nagaoka/Moriguchi - 60.32 / 66.27
Akopova/Rakhmanin - 65.20
Zhang/Huang - 62.94
Shin/Nagy - 58.22 / 59.64
Holichenko/Darenskyi - 57.40
Gamez/Korovin - 57.28 / 51.60
Kovalev/Kovalev - 57.13
Schaller/Mayr - 56.61 / 53.59
Ryom/Han - 49.37
Gunnarsdottir/Piazza - 48.58
Valesi/Bidar - no SB score yet

Well, it looks like the arena is slightly fuller than it was at the start of the RD.

well i don't think there will be any problem with this music getting taken down

Ryom/Han - better costumes than last season, lol. 3tw - bit crashy on the landing; SBS 3t - she doubled; throw 3lo - she pitched forward on the landing but stayed up; SBS spins - no unison at all; red boxes for the first 4 elements; lift - decent and the first green box barely; step sequence - sloppy moments from him; BIDS - another red box, so yeah... That was about what I expected from them.

Tae Ok Ryom/Kum Chol Han 🇰🇵
Coach: Kim Hyon Son
Music: Oh My Hometown by Jon In Gol

Triple Twist 1 - catch was not clean
2T - Tae Ok doubled
Throw 3Lo - piked forward, hand down
Change Foot Combo Spin
4 (3 after review) - loss of synchronization
Axel Lasso Lift 4
Step Sequence 2
Back Inside Death Spiral 3

They need more competitive experience, and some help with the choreography to improve their scores.

46.95 =1st Place

ARM team probably imported Russians so I am inclined to not support them mentally.

but nice triple twist.
huge 3flip throw

his skating is a bit sloppy and stiff kneeed

sbs 3sal, he a bit sloppy

he really needs to work on his knee bend, it is quite distracting IMO

nice entry hop into the death spiral

Akopova/Rakhmanin - 3tw - very nice & high; throw 3f - high, bit rough on the landing but fine overall; SBS 3s - he had a bit of a lean on his landing but, again, stayed up; lift - not as impressive as one would expect from a formerly Russian team; step seq - alright; BIDS - decent; SBS spins - decent unison & fairly close together. Not bad at all. They're putting themselves in a good position to secure one of the spots.

That TES... even with 7.50 average PCS they are pushing toward 70 points.

Karina Akopova/Nikita Rakhmanin 🇦🇲
Coach: Fedor Klimov, Dmitri Savin
Music: Artsakh by Ara Gevorkian

Triple Twist 3
Throw 3Lz
3Sq - Nikita was piked forward
Reverse Lasso Lift 3 (4 after review)
Step Sequence 3
Back Inside Death Spiral 4

Change Foot Combo Spin 4 (2 after review)

Huge throw triple Lutz that came down hard, but she did well to land it cleanly. Good technical skate, but lacking in the performance.

63.85 = 1st Place

Another team that I'm pretty sure he didn't suddenly get Icelandic citizenship and there's no other team.

He's still pretty to look at.

For being second year, they have improved a ton.

Gunnarsdottir/Piazza - 3tw - decent; SBS 3s - she fell; BIDS - nice; these blue costumes are an interesting choice for this "Imagine" cover; throw 3s - nicely done; lift - he was a bit scratchy on his turns; step seq - okay; SBS spins - poor unison on the camel.

They've improved since last season but this won't be enough to get them to the Olympics this year. I do hope they stick together and aim for 2030.
That TES... even with 7.50 average PCS they are pushing toward 70 points.
overestimated that PCS by about a point, lol

Julia Sylvia Gunnarsdottir/Manuel Piazza 🇮🇸
Coach: O. Hotarek, R. Murante, B. Naggiar
Music: Imagine by Audiomachine

Triple Twist 4
3S< - Julia fell
Back Inside Death Spiral 3
Throw 3S

Axel Lasso Lift 4 - some balance issues
Step Sequence 3
Change Foot Combo Spin 4 - distance between them

For a relatively inexperienced team this was pretty good. Hopefully they give themselves the change to develop, and make a run at the next Olympic games.

-1.00 = Falls
53.09 = 2nd Place

I just saw that his former partner is skating in the next group - I wonder why they split. Maybe because Italy has too many good pairs? They always seemed to have a good rapport from looking at them (which could of course be totally wrong). And it isn't like Julia is that much better.

There's no way they were gonna get it here and early on in being known. By the end of the year, I suspect they will.
Right. I figured the unknown team PCS deficit was going to be a problem for them at this event.

Oh, resurfacing after the 1st group! We'll be back soon.
