He did well to start, but them the intrusive thoughts came out, and single toe combination is about as useless a combination as a skater can do. The fall on the step sequence was just a kick in the teeth. Much promise in this skater for the future, but wasn't to be today.

Dias needs to learn to pace himself in the program because of a lot of the jump errors were caused by rushed take-offs. He has a presence, and a carriage that is quite appealing, and I hope he can find some technical consistency in the future.

That was so special to watch. My favourite part of Li's skating is that he takes his time, and doesn't rush his elements.
