Skate to Milano OWG Qualifier - Beijing CHN - Ice Dance RD & FD

Does anyone know why ice dancers only have a five minute warm-up while everybody else has six? I missed that memo.

So, this is the 2nd F1 free skate/free dance of the season. There was a guy at Cranberry Cup who had an F1 FS - one of the Israelis - either Vinokur or Gorodnitsky.

Skate to Miano meets Drive to Survive. I'm not sure they pulled off the theme throughout the program, but that opening stationary lift, and the long curve entry was very original.

-1.00 = Extended Lifts
91.70 = 3rd Place
153.81 = 3rd Place

Well, sad for the UKR team, this dance really doesn't work at all and was pretty sloppy on top of it all.

Positively, Pin/Pog had some cool, unique moves. But I don't know what the heck I just watched. Hopefully, it will gel more as the season goes on? It's kind of confusing.

Mikhail has very nice extension that we don't always see with ice dance men. The program is a bit reductive, and the choreography doesn't add anything new to a theme, and music we've seen many times before.

95.10 = 3rd Place
157.65 = 2nd Place

Oh Exogenesis...

At least Ich/Nos love the music. They performed with abandon.

I don't know what Mark is going on and on about. They are fine, but their holds are probably the easiest we've seen in the last 7 or 8 teams. :shuffle: They are good for the amount of time they've been together but this wasn't revolutionary.

It's a warhorse, but for a team that only paired 5 months ago, I think the program works well for them. But ugh, low levels on the step sequences will kill them.
