Skate America 2024 Pairs FS - Texas 2T

VLDigs - love these costumes! 3tw - not bad; SBS 2t - she doubled; SBS 2a+2a - eh; throw 3lo - good; he's much more secure in his footwork on this lift and doesn't scare me like he has in past seasons. This music is way too quiet and piano-tinkly. Ohhhhhh, transitions to "Carry You" - music choice fail. Huge throw 3s - really nice way to come out of decent choreo seq. Second lift - still not skary footwork from him - okay, then, they now have two solid lifts; make that three - that last one was also not skary from him. I'm guessing they'll stay ahead of McBPark.

Another great skate from the Brits! Hugely improved from Worlds and Autumn Classic last year. Great landing on the throws, Anastasia landed her second throw in front of me and her face just lit up with joy. They ended their program in front of me too and were super excited with their skate. Audience was very excited too.

Too bad he doubled the toe, hopefully they can upgrade from the SBS 2 axels as well. Great skate!

Honestly the only Je Suis Malade program I've truly liked was Weaver and Poje's and while Efimova/Mitrofanov are getting things done decently nothing here is convincing me to change my mind.

Program could’ve been anything, choreo isn’t there at all and neither give anything to the performance. But they can.. mostly.. land stuff?

EfiMit - blue slip dress for her. 3tw - nice; SBS 3s+2a - clean! SBS 2t - she doubled again; throw 3lo - beautiful! Wonderful lift; FODS with a great, swinging exit; throw 3s - gorgeous! And two more spectacular lifts into a somewhat slow pairs spin to end but I LOVE that closing pose!

They really are a special, special team!

Efimova/Mitrofanov: OMG, Alisa landing her sbs jumps! WHEE!!! Oh well, just a 2 toe for her second sbs. Lovely 3 throw loop. Stunning death spiral in difficult postion. HUGE 3 throw salchow.

I'm hoping they make it to Boston.

It's the Kaitlyn Weaver-patented Malade Look, where you're bedraggled from Heartbreak and can barely roll out of bed. Needs a perma-slipped nightdress strap for max effect, though.

Nobody has ever touched Weaver and Poje’s interpretation but every year we get multiple programs. Tech is well done but no feel to it.
