Me too I was notttt wanting to wake up early today. And I have an 8 am meeting tomorrow thanks to the 1 hour time difference so another early day tomorrow

I had a long night but I arrived in time for the men’s free. Lovely start with tinkly piano Matrix. But I have a soft spot for Francois. Saw him on the street as he was walking to the competition yesterday and said good luck and I think he was surprised he got recognized. When he was sitting next to ilia, I don’t think anyone asked him for an autograph or pic

Pitot: 2S 3F nice. 3A/2T. Fly camel okay but slow. Combo spin. Choreo steps into 3A nice run out. 3Z/3T. 3Z/2A/2A very well done. Footwork nice speed but doesn't get deep into his knees. 3R. Sit spin to end.

After a shaky start, he pulled it together. Good for him.

Well, that was a perfectly serviceable program apart from the doubled 4s. Nothing amazing or remarkable. Hopefully this bodes well for the rest of the competition. Or at least the next three skaters.

A much better skate overall from Francois today. He should be pleased with that performance. m A good start to the event .... dare we hope for mostly clean and entertaining skates from the rest of the field? Good luck to all.
