Russia Cup 3rd Stage in Sochi (Oct. 23-27)

Let's face it.
P/P were not succesful (for RUS standards) in juniors.
Made no impact internationally in seniors and somehow luckily managed to place 5th in senior nationals.
Seems like they are back to their usual self.
I expect someone knocking them off the national team, unless they are saving their only clean skate of the season for the nationals.

Shagalov competed in seniors last season with Karina Akopova, they even went to a few internationals. They seem to be more successful in their new partnerships however, so good for them.

Mukhortova has rolled her eyes like three times in the kiss and cry. She's having such a teenage moment.
Well, I don’t think she is very pleased with their skate. The mess with the twist and double flip throw, that cost them the silver medal.

I wonder who thought this music is a good choice for Kostiukovich/Briukhanov! How to make from a lively girl someone who look like she is attending a funeral.

Not!Polina looks bummed out, but she's keeping it together. Last year she could have melted down over that.

This program works really well for them. It's a good blend of her warrior girl and his classics. I'm already picture them tackling something like Ride of the Valkyries, she'd be a kickass Valkyrie...
