2020 Russian Cup, 2nd stage (Oct. 10-13 in Moscow)

insane lift then screw up the spin. I held my breath until he got her back on the ice during that first lift.

What is this music? I never heard it and I totally love, that it sounds somehow classic and Briukhanov is all  in it!

Guys, I'm so confused. Why was there a medal ceremony for the 2 teams in group 1, then back to more pairs? I'm catching up, and totally lost.

There were only two senior pairs. So they had a medal ceremony and then junior pairs started.

👏 Trusova.

:( Valieva – the only consolation is that it is far better to have a rough skate now than when it counts for something. Still hard, though. She has plenty of time to make it up and leave a more favorable impression and outcome for herself and the next table of judges. Onward.

Jeez, yeah. Count on it. That's why we can't exhale until the final pose, and even that gets screwed up occasionally. 😲

All of top three ladies are way too frantic, I get exhausted from watching them. There's too many moves jammed into those programs, who amazingly enough still has zero choreo that actually has anything to do with the theme or the music. All the moves are created to gain difficulty and levels, not to make a programs that's interesting to watch. They just skate through the music. Valieva's attempts on hand choreo can't save her, poor girl. She has exquisite flexibility, holding those positions longer would create amazing higlights in her programs, now she seems like she can't get through those 4 min fast enough.

I'd take Frolova and Stasia any day. Lots of people here find Frolova boring, but at least she listens to the music, takes time to pause during her program and invite the audience into her performance. Her moves made sense with the nuances of the music and her FS was building, so it was actually a story there to watch. Stasia is mature, moves beautifully and is totally into her programs, facial expression and all.

Chebotareva has a very promising young skater and she's pleased, ET and company have an adorable tiny future #slayerofbears, Volchkova has just given up wearing a mask altogether

Volchkova has just given up wearing a mask altogether
I noticed through out the event that Volchkova wears her mask correctly when talking to adults face to face; then she slides it off her nose when talking to skaters and standing near the boards; she removes her mask in kiss'n cry (vanity)..
