Deniss - 4s fall; combo & 3A were both fine - so he's bound and determined to go for the 4S in the SP, which he needs, even if it's not terribly consistent.

Sota - 4s - nice; 3z+3t? leaning a bit on the 1st jump, slow into both; 3a - nearly put his hand down on the tilted landing.

Memola - 4z - decent; 3a - good - he has quite the hunch going into the takeoff; 3z+3t good - this should certainly lead and not by a little.

Glad to see Marsak in the second FS group. I hate when skaters miss a group (or free) by a fraction of a point, and there is a good gap between Marsak and Samoilov.

Haven't been watching any of the Golden Skate streams this morning yet, but pairs was... Well, GhiAmbro did their usual in the FS, and McBPark didn't do themselves any favors in the USFS pairs hierarchy.

Okay, going to try and watch the final group of women.

Yoshida - 3a - step out; rest of the jumps - stumble out of her first combo; then a 2+2 for the second combo; everything else looked good. Not her best effort, but not a complete disaster like her SP.

ETA - FS 130.26; Total 184.02

Niina - a few tight landings, but much better than yesterday. Can't complain about a program with no falls.

Josefin - She's standing everything up, but I worry that some of these jumps are going to get q or < calls on review. The program really is one of the best of the season. Crossing my fingers for her.

FS - 108.04 (50.36 TES - not even close); Total 165.11

Lea - started off okay; popped a 2a into a 1a about 1/3 of the way in; two-footed the last jump of her last combo; she had a nearly 10 point lead over Niina, so I'm guessing this may hold on, but I'm also only half-paying attention because I'm a little sleepy and this program is boring.

FS - 121.30; Total 185.61 - well, I was quite wrong, lol.

Isabeau - falls out of the 3f to open; falls out of the next triple; third triple is clean; 2a good; 3f+2a - okay-ish; 3 jump combo - sloppy & small jumps; last combo - okay-ish.

This is probably enough to keep her on the Worlds team, but I'm guessing the USFS is going to have her undergoing additional monitoring and won't make a final decision for another 3 weeks.

FS - 121.79; Total - 188.64

Lara - great start on her first three jumping passes then she doubles her 4th jump; and a fall on her 2nd to last jumping pass; came back with a nice triple to close out the jumps. Oh, this music is not helpful at all when I've been up 12 hrs and only had maybe a 2 hr nap yesterday afternoon.

FS - 120.58; Total - 188.19

This is probably enough to keep her on the Worlds team, but I'm guessing the USFS is going to have her undergoing additional monitoring and won't make a final decision for another 3 weeks.

Not a fantastic skate, but second behind the European Champ with no falls or huge errors is enough to get her the ticket to Boston, IMO.

She equalled Everhardt's GP short program scores even without a triple-triple, and she was 3-8 points off the free skate scores, despite watered down content (apparently with permission) and some mistakes.

I wish the criteria were more objective, but this is a "met expectations" from me.

Mostly Good Memola showed up as well -- it was a strong skate at first, but the wheels started coming off at the end. We'll see if he did enough ... ETA: He drops to second, and Kevin wins.

After 225 points are added to Green/Parsons' WS points total for their silver here, they should move to 11th on the WS list, bumping the Taschlers to 12th. Since Fournier Beaudry/Sorensen (10th) aren't competing at Worlds, that moves G/P into the penultimate RD group.
It also moves Aymoz up to, at this point, 7th on the rankings and just outside the final group for Boston. Britschgi is a small question mark for Worlds, and Shaidorov should comfortably earn additional points as it is with his 4CC placement to further solidify his final group status.

Malinin, Siao Him Fa, Kagiyama, Sato, (Britschgi), Shaidorov for now.
