RIP David Ogden Stiers

:( MASH remains my favorite show ever, and he was my favorite character.

I remember seeing him in an interview, he was totally different from Major Winchester. He was very quiet and gentle, and there was no Boston accent at all. It was hard to believe it was the same person.

Oh no. He was a great character in MASH. Also I remember him in The Accidental Tourist.

Looking at his IMDB profile, he seemed be a prolific voice artist.

My favorite character of his is the arrogant researcher/doctor in the movie Creator. And I loved him in MASH.

David Ogden Stiers was terrific in MASH as Charles. Loved him! So sad to be hearing this today. RIP.

He portrayed the "new management" on the finale of the Mary Tyler Moore Show, also.
What a great actor he was!

I remember this:

"Stiers, loved classical music. It flowed through his veins. Deeply involved and well educated in the subject matter, he became a conductor of classical orchestras. "He'd bring in these manuscripts and would stand with his baton while reading music," Nakahara says. "He directed the entire cast to sing part of 'Dona Nobis Pacem' for a Christmas show. He arranged the song and gave us parts."
