Reddit video comparison of choreo seq - men vs. women scoring

Reddit has an interesting thread with videos showing side by side men v. women's choreography sequences with the respective scores earned for each.

At least to me, it does look like the men are scored much more leniently or the women are significantly underscored. The guys certainly look a lot sloppier.

1) element matches the music and reflects the concept/character of the program
2) creativity
3) effortless throughout with good energy, flow and execution
4) varied directions and pattern
5) good clarity and precision
6) excellent commitment and control of the whole body

"Sloppier" could relate to points 5) and 6). What about the other points?

Kevin (1st one)

• All his turns are counter-clockwise until the ending pose where he turns to face the judges table. Does that meet the varied directions and pattern very well?
• The entire sequence other than the slide feels somewhat out-of-control/edge of disaster. I guess that adds to excitement, but not sure it hits the mark for 5. If a skater has wonky, off-kilter air positions on jumps, but manages to land them, is that indicitive of "control of the whole body"--in one sense, I guess, since the skater didn't splat, but it certainly isn't as fine as control where someone has great air position and a nice landing. Similarly, a lot of Kevin's moves in the sequence are kind of sloppy.

Meanwhile, Kaori is smooth and beautifully controlled throughout the sequence...and scores markedly lower.
