Purchasing Swarovski Crystals

Does anyone know of a place in the SF Bay Area where one can purchase Swarovski crystals without having to go online?

You can get them at Michael's, JoAnn Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby for sure. I've never seen them in bulk though. What side of the Bay? Hobby Lobbys are rare, I only know of the ones in Dublin, Walnut Creek, and Morgan Hill.

I purchase Swarovski frequently, and in my experience, independent bead shops have a better selection and lower prices. Places like Michael's only sell them pre-packaged, independent shops let you buy the exact quantity you want. If you google "bead shop bay area" you'll find lots of shops.
If it's the sew-ons you want, most bead shops carry those, as well as the regular beads.

I get mine from Crystals 2 Love within a couple days of ordering. It's hard to find a local source that has good variety because it is such a niche market. Assuming you are talking about flat backs and not for jewelry.

It's for our boss' dress. She's skating in Oberstdorf next week so it's kind of last minute and she wants to see them and feel them rather than order them over the web.

I'll pass your suggestions on to her.

Thanks!

For sure call local independent jewelry supply stores and ask if they sell flat backed crystals. The ones at craft stores are not the same quality. Swarovski is called swarovski elements, it is lower quality.

You have a boss who skates? Lucky you! :)

I get mine from Art Beads online. Delivery within the US is real fast and they sell genuine Swarokvski.

Does she know a skating dress maker in town? They might have a sample card and/or be willing to let her look over their colors and possibly purchase a small quantity (at least offer - show of thanks before buying elsewhere!).

I'll ask on Monday what she did. I know part of this is complicated by the fact that she's flying off pretty soon and wanted to get them this weekend.

She's really good too! :D

She used your advice to find a shop in SF that has the right kind of crystals. A bead shop, I think.
