I'm making a point of it to avoid all of the ice dance threads this season, otherwise I'll become an :EVILLE: and very ugly person.

With that said I hope Gabby and Guillaume dominate this season and beat EVERYONE. :kickass: :cheer: In such an obvious way, and by so much, clear as day, that no amount of :wuzrobbed :violin: from the crazies will mean a damn thing!!!!!

Please remember to just ignore them this season and enjoy Papadakis & Cizeron! :cheer2: their opinion doesn't matter!

I second this! But also last season I didn´t had difficluties to just enjoy their skating. To me, they´re the best ice dancers ever! Or let me say, there are nearly no other skaters ever that touched my heart as much as they do. I WISH them that they´ll win everything because they should be honored for what they bring to the skating world. But if it´s not meant to be - for me, they´ll always be my Nr. One! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
 
I'm hoping to see some nonstandard music choices, esp for the SD. I like P/C's commitment to bringing something that they really want to listen to when they skate.
 
If the rumour is true that they are having Moonlight Sonata FD how will you feel? Seems very safe but personally I would love it.
 
I don't know, I don't think I would like to see them dancing on classical music again so soon. Let's see.
Btw, where did you hear the rumour?

I would love it as I think they could totally rock it. It would be different from all MS we have seen before. But I don´t care what music they´ll skate to. I figured out that whatever they choose, I´ll love it. They can skate to any music and make it special and fantastic programs, so let´s wait and see :)
 
I imagine them dancing very well on Moonlight sonata:), I would love it, but I do not believe it.
They started with Mozart, they could finish this cycle by Beethoven. It would be a less risky choice than last season but this music has already been used by Gordieva Grinkov so...
In two months, we'll know;)

Well, I hope you or anyone else here won't be offended by this and/or think me one of those crazies. I love Gabriella and Guillaume very much, but I am also a fan of Tessa and Scott. And that's definitely one of the reasons why I don't want P/C to win in such an obvious way, but, more so than that, I always want to watch competitions where as many skaters as possible perform really well and marks are in the hands of judges (and where those judges mark them as fairly as humanly possible in this particular system). Gabriella and Guillaume winning in an obvious way and by so much would mean that Tessa and Scott made serious mistakes, and I don't want that to happen because of the aforementioned reasons. Ideally (for me), as far as P/C and V/M go, both teams would have two great programs that would show all their best qualities, would perform well all season long with maybe some minor mistakes and have their best performances of both programs at Olympics. Even better if all the other top teams, but especially Weaver/Poje, Shibutanis, Hubbell/Donohue, Cappellini/Lanotte and Gilles/Poirier had all of that too. Of course, that's only a dream and almost never happens, but I truly hope it will come close to that.

Edit: Actually, it came close to that at 2016 Worlds - especially in the FD, and that's why I absolutely loved watching and rewatching that competition. Allmost all of the top 10 performed great. The only drawbacks were that Weaver/Poje and Sinitsina/Katsalapov did not do so well, Virtue/Moir were not there, and I was not totally sure that Gilles/Poirier were marked fairly in the FD compared to others.

Me too. If anyone can do justice to Moonlight Sonata it is them. Who cares if G&G skated to it. P&C will do their own special version that will melt hearts. Except for all those people who will complain that they're doing the same style again. Given it's for the Olys, and given how much love the judges have loved them the past three seasons they'd be mad to change styles now.

I think the moonlight sonata is a great choice of music for their style and judges often seem to like classical skating music. G/G already used it but so what? That was 23 years ago and many pieces of music are used over and over again much more often.
 
I'm part of the people who think that Gabriella and Guillaume can skate on anything even without any music ... They would manage to do something magical:)
When I spoke of G/G, I do not care (they can even take the bolero, they would do something different), but I already imagined some reflections.
Some people think that Mozart, The Cinematic Orchestra and Aldo Lopez Gavilan, Olafur Arnalds is the same music so there is a chance that Beethoven too:D.
I am very curious to know their choice for the short dance, perhaps it will be known a little before the music of the free:)

Ultimately I'm a fan of dance, so if they can do an amazing dance to moonlight sonata, I'm not going to mind. But seeing some of the SDs that have come out, with skaters choosing tired music choices just because they work, is something I feel like P/C would not do. Hopefully I'm right about that.

When have they ever? ;) I can always trust P/C to bring something brilliant, no matter what they skate to. I have a feeling they'll do something different for the SD because they're them.
 
Hi! We are a group of fans of Gabriella and Guillaume. We have some not big but nice presents and letters for them and would like to send of course. Could anybody help and give us an address of their Skating club? Here or to private messages... I think, it's OK because it's not a personal iformation, as I know a lot of people send something to Ice clubs. Thank you! :)

If you google Complexe récréatif Gadbois you can find the address. It's a public facility in Montreal with lots of public classes, etc. There are multiple rinks in the complex that the Montreal school uses

Of course not dear, I'm about 300 places in line ahead of you. (The crazies line). That's why I'm removing myself from the situation before my eyes turn red and head starts spinning. Pea soup on the way..

I have a great feeling their programs will be magnificent this year. :cheer: I'm so excited for their music announcement.
 
It's like they say, whatever you focus on will expand. If you focus on the drama, that's what you'll see in every posting. If you like drama, then that's great. If you don't, then put your focus on something else.

Having been around for a long time, I've seen lots of people drive themselves crazy because they focus on something they don't like.

It will definitely seem that way to you. That's why ubers often feel like their favs are untouchable. But if that's what makes you happiest, why not? Life is about enjoyment.

Good for them. Poor Virtue-Moir, at firts rumours about Moulin Rouge in FD, when PC were given Moonlight Sonata, now PC worked with Dean, when VM with whom? Sam? They are sold second time by there coaches, can't believe this happened again.
