I had no idea E. Medvedva had osteoporosis as the cause of her multiple fractures. In this interview, she said didn't eat in a healthy way. She takes all the blame but really, who pushed her to eat this way? We know that answer, yet it shocked me to read that she had the bone density of an 85 year old at her age (2018). I doubt that anyone can fully, 100%, recover that kind of bone loss even with that kind of diagnosis.

I hope she can recover. And she does take nutrition very seriously now. But she should not blame herself, she was a child. At 18, after the Olympics she started working on her health.

So true, to prepare an athlete is a whole thing : from training to sleeping and eating !
Hard to blame only herself
