I came across this article, so if it's old news here and has been discussed before, moderators can delete this post.
I had no idea E. Medvedva had osteoporosis as the cause of her multiple fractures. In this interview, she said didn't eat in a healthy way. She takes all the blame but really, who pushed her to eat this way? We know that answer, yet it shocked me to read that she had the bone density of an 85 year old at her age (2018). I doubt that anyone can fully, 100%, recover that kind of bone loss even with that kind of diagnosis.

Evgenia Medvedeva: “After 2018 Olympics I had three fractures in the lower spine and a serious stage of osteoporosis. I was told, ‘These are the kind of bones elderly women have at 85 years old.”
Evgenia Medvedeva about her injuries.
