That path ended last season with the pewter medal at euros. not the worst path to follow!

Oh it's not hate at all towards Isabella. Wannabe Reed is nothing to worry about for plus she still got the best partners:

Stagniunas >>>> Ambrulevicius
Tkachenko >>>> Rogov
Young Japaridze >>>> Old Japaridze :D

I could also post this in the O-4CC thread, but next week's Philadelphia Skate lineup is looking like a mini-Nebelhorn (though it must be said I don't know if a skater like Paniot is definitely not going to Nebelhorn).

... next week's Philadelphia Skate lineup is looking like a mini-Nebelhorn (though it must be said I don't know if a skater like Paniot is definitely not going to Nebelhorn).
Relevant excerpt from the Philadelphia Summer International recap article that is linked in the U.S. Men's & Ladies news threads in GSD as well as in the competition thread in the Kiss & Cry section:
Ukraine's Yaroslav Paniot, 10th at the 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, opened his free with a quadruple flip and a quad toe-triple toe combination. While several of his jumps had flawed landings, he was second in the free and second overall with 217.05 points.
Paniot, who trains in Riverside, California, in Tammy Gambill's group, travels to Kiev this month for an internal competition with two-time world competitor Ivan Pavlov. The winner will compete for an Olympic spot for Ukraine at Nebelhorn Trophy in late September.

Loena is doing a Madonna program to "Frozen"?! :kickass: Yeah! :cheer:instant fan, I love that song. :GnP1:#teamleona

It's so nice to see a "Frozen" in skating that isn't Disney's "Frozen on Ice". Also love the Gotan Project choice for the LP, well done Loena! :encore:

 right, I changed it once I realized it was spelled incorrectly. (As you can see, then I look at my alerts and low and behold - I've been quoted) But thank you so much!!! Didn't even have to wait more than 5 minutes and you're just on it.

I am on my phone sometimes and make mistakes like anybody else can. #teamloena #LOENA

Switzerland is holding a JGP & Nebelhorn Trophy selection test skate on August 12 in Flims: http://www.swissiceskating.ch/de/component/dpcalendar/event/701
According to this published document of participants, Alexia Paganini (5th in Junior at 2017 U.S. Nationals who debuted on the JGP last season in St. Gervais, France) is one of the Senior ladies candidates along with Matilde Gianocca, Yoonmi Lehmann, Jérômie Repond and Yasmine Yamada.
Senior men listed are Lukas Britschgi, Tim Huber, Nicola Todeschini, and Stéphane Walker.

How can Paganini be a contestant for that, if she skated internationally last season for the US?
How is her connection to Switzerland?!

Where is Odermatt? Still injured or quit?

Wow, Paganini is going to be a factor in Nebelhorn based on that kind of form (which could be bad news for a skater like Galustyan or Peltonen to qualify for Pyeongchang).

Re-posting @drfj's Ivett Toth injury news here from the Rostelecom Cup thread in Kiss & Cry:
http://moksz.hu/mukorcsolya/toth-ivett-november-vegen-versenyez-eloszor
she had an operation she will be able to skate on competition at the end of November
Fortunately, she had qualified an (her) Olympic spot at Helsinki Worlds.

Google translated excerpts:

Returning to her summer vacation, she returned home to her new home in Switzerland, after an evening cooking, Ivett Tóth suffered a domestic accident, ...
Down the stairs, after a bad step, the foot was under his head and his fifth mid-bone was broken.
... surgery [in mid-August] was not easy, but the most advanced technique was found by the professional staff to record the displaced parts. The six-week plaster is inevitable, but Ivett begins physical conditioning in the second week ... The October Grand Prix [Russia] is not likely to start, but is scheduled to compete at the end of November.
Ivett just said so much: "I'm fine. It does not hurt. I would use it tomorrow."

That is very fortunate that the Olympic spot is already secured. Now she can rest though pity about missing the grand prix but better to be fully healed for the 2nd half of the season, especially in an Olympic year. Best of luck to Ivett in getting better!
