Ice Theater of NY is having a benefit show on Thursday, May 2 at 7 pm at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers, with Misha Ge as their guest skater.

The email I got says that they will be presenting Gracie Gold with their Will Sears Award ("given to a skater who demonstrates exceptional daring and persistence in pursuit of her passion") but it doesn't sound like Gracie will actually be performing.

For a lot of African-Americans, we have not had that,” said Richburg, who worked with James for about a week and a half on the program. He learned the choreography in about two days, and they spent the rest of the time focused on the intent of the piece.

So last weekend I went to Ice Crystals, the annual show of the Colonial Figure Skating Club here in Massachusetts. As noted above in this thread, Alex Johnson was the guest star. Alex was amazing as usual & performed a new exhibition number in the show. I did end up going to the Skate It Forward show in Columbus, OH yesterday but I'm on vacation now (I left this morning) so I don't have much time to talk about it here (it was really fun). I did write up my show review for FSO though so that should be posted sometime this week. I thought the show was very well done and I enjoyed all of the headliners' programs. I also had the pleasure of interviewing the headliners prior to the show and those interviews will be posted after I get home from vacation (new Smart/Diaz uber here....they were absolute gems to talk to and by far my longest interview). I'm sure the show review will get shared here while I'm away and I hope you guys enjoy it!
