Neko Atsume kitty collector -- any other addicts?

Joe Dimeowgio had now visited 34 times. I hope he isn't an outlier that'll take 60 visits before he gives me a memento. He doesn't come that often, and there is no combination of food or location that seems to make any difference.
 
My tablet is misbehaving, I'm beginning to wonder if its days are numbered. That will be a bummer ... but the upside would be that I'd have to start Neko Atsume again from the beginning. :D
 
And then there were none: Jeeves left his memento last night. So that's the whole collection, until there's another update.

There definitely needs to be a word for the sense of accomplishment mixed with disappointment that comes with that ...

Oh well. Now I can focus on the toys I like best. And I've got lots of gold so I think I'll do a remodel, just for fun.

That's my ultimate goal too. He's done it once (that I know of) but I missed it. :wuzrobbed

I bought the "rustic" remodel and tried that for a day, but I don't like the layout. Aside from the two spaces on those high shelves, I just can't position the toys in a way that pleases me. So I've gone back to zen.
 
So glad. I've been growing bored. I have a ton of silver and gold fish and nearly all the toys but waiting for Bob's memento is breaking me!
 
Yeah, I have all the toys too (only 2 remodels left to buy), but I'm stuck waiting for the mementos for half a dozen of the cats - who are visiting very rarely, despite expensive food & their specific toys. Jeeves & Sapphire both have visited just once, and of course I missed them & didn't get a pic. Am also waiting on mementos from Lady Meow-Meow (whose hammock I've had out non-stop for at least 6 weeks), Frosty, Peaches and Rascal.
 
I can't wait for the update. I have tons of silver and gold fish. I have bought everything available. I have all the momentos. I'm ready for some newbies.
 
I only have one remodel left to get. I've been trying to get a photo of tubbs on the cushion, but no luck.
 
Version 1.7.0a showed up on my Kindle this morning. (My android phone hasn't updated yet.) :cheer:

There are 3 new cats and new toys: beach ball, treasure-box, luxury treasure-box, dino deluxe, grass cushion (red), grass cushion (navy), aluminum bowl, manta gel mat, mister penguin, shell tunnel (pink), shell tunnel (blue), shell tunnel (white). I haven't bought any of the wallpapers but it looks like there are new choices with the update. The gallery was three pages and now it's four.

I'm using the zen style and there is now a navy fan next to the goodie spot in the lower right corner (screen shot). Now I want to know if the cats pick it up and fan themselves!

Also, in my screen shot -- three rares at once! :biggrinbo

I just checked the Play store and no update there, but will keep checking. Something to look forward to!
 
It hasn't updated for iOS yes either. But it's good to know it's coming:D.

I've now purchased the sakura pillow and await his arrival. :D
 
The android and iOS updates have arrived! I've been stockpiling fish since finishing the game on my android and was able to purchase all of the new goodies. I've seen all three cats (2 regular, 1 rare).

"The new cats are Pasty, Chip and Bengal Jack (a pirate!)"

The android update works just fine on my phone but I've read that some people are having problems with the iOS update -- no cats showing up and food not being depleted.

There were also little decorative touches added to each style for the summer. So far I've discovered a painted pottery pig in the original and the navy fan in the zen.

Mine was updated automatically (I'm pretty sure I had to go to the Google Play store last time). So far I've bought the big dinosaur and one of the treasure chests. No sign of new cats yet but it's been less than an hour.

Is the blue fan attached to a specific location, or to certain toys? Mine is on the far right, tucked under the giant cushion. (oops, never mind, I see that it's probably location, based on your screenshot, katmari))
 
BTW, are we going to run a competition between the FSU Neko Atsume crowd and the FSU Pokémon Go crowd? :D And for the people on both teams ... do we need to force them to pick a side?
 
No sides! You can play both ;)

My game updated but like most iOS users, time isn't running so no new cats yet. No cats at all right now. :(
 
Mine updated today. I had enough fish to buy all the new toys, but have just some of them out. I kept out some of the older toys that are for some of the cats I'm still trying to get mementos for.

I'm doing the same thing on my Kindle. I still have rare mementos to collect and have a mixture of old and new goodies out. I discovered the two new regulars will use the old goodies. Pasty used the sunken fireplace and Chip used the giant cushion on their first visits. :)
