Neko Atsume kitty collector -- any other addicts?

I remodeled from the sugary to rustic, and in hours Jeeves and Sapphire finally visited. I had their objects up for several weeks of sugary and they only visited twice.

When I was looking for images of the different remodels this morning I found this picture, which would seem to show someone succeeding in that goal. I suspect fakery though -- whenever Tubbs shows up, most of the other cats take off from that side.

I'm glad you found a set up that works for you. :) I love the randomness of the game and think part of the fun is trying out different possibilities and finding what works best.

Thanks for posting the image. :) I've had the same experience as you with Tubbs and find it unlikely that all the cats stayed when he showed up. I still haven't managed to capture more than 14 at any one time.

Speaking of remodels, a person on reddit created matching decors for all the styles (minus modern as it hadn't been released yet) and then posted images of each -- empty and full. (This person did state the images are combinations of several camera shots, but it's still cool to see.)

I had Lady Meow-Meow, Conductor Whiskers, and Billy the Kitten all visit at the same time this morning, but no mementos. These last 5 rares are visiting often, but are really holding tight to their mementos.
 
I laugh whenever I see that pose. Not just Princess, but also Sunny, Misty, Ginger, Speckles, and I think I've spotted a couple of others.

Princess was the first one I saw do it though, and that's what made me rename her to Sasha -- which was the name of my RL kitty who used to do that faceplant thing all the time. Plus she was a torbie too, so it's perfect.
 
I've also gotten that pose from Pickles, Dottie and Spooky! It's the best pose! Once I'm done with the mementos, I'm going to lay out a ton of pillows to try to get as many of them as I can like that. :rofl:
 
Spooky was doing a faceplant the first time I saw him, and it was a while before I saw any other cat in that position, so i thought Spooky was the only one. I collect every photo i can in that pose.

I got Billy the Kitten's memento this morning. Just 4 to go! I wish the conductor would give me his, because his objects are hogging four spots.

They'll do it on other toys too, not just pillows -- I have pictures of cats doing the faceplant on the fireplace, on the top of the stump, and on the top of the metropolis. There might have been others too (I go in and out of phases with taking the pictures, plus a couple of my catbook albums are full).

ETA: just checked google images and I also see pictures there of the faceplant pose on the kotatsu, the hot water bottle, and the heating pad.

Though why no one has yet posted a picture with the caption "Go home, Princess, you're drunk" is beyond me ... :rofl:

And Conductor Whiskers must've been listening. He just brought me his. Now only three to go.

eta- Lady Meow Meow just brought me hers! I'm on a roll. Just two to go now.

I got bored with the tower and tired of waiting for Jeeves & Sapphire to show up again, so I've put it away for now. I'll put it out again once I have mementos from the other 2 holdouts: Billy and Joe.

I put the 3D tunnel in its place, a toy I bought a while back but haven't had out much. Am looking forward to seeing the different configurations of cat butts and disembodied heads. :D
 
Finally! Frosty gave me his memento this morning, so now Joe Dimeowgio is the last holdout, which is funny because I think he was the first rare cat to visit me. He used to come as soon as I put out the baseball, but rarely comes now.
 
Joe came through for me last night, after 63 visits. That's the longest wait I've had so far.

Still waiting for Billy, he's up to 35 visits with no memento.
 
I'm still waiting for the same 3: Peaches, Guy Furry and Bob. The latter two are at 30+ visits. Sigh.

While I wait, I got pictures of Breezy and Apricot face planting.
 
As soon as I get Joe's memento, I think my goals will be to get a photo of each of the regular cats doing a face plant. Also Tubbs on the large cushion, and Frosty on something other than the snowy cushion.

I am doing the same. I am trying to get pictures of the cats in all the positions - sitting, sleeping, the loaf, face planting -, in the glass vase and all of the butts :rofl:

I did manage to get Peaches in the vase - a Peaches shake! And also Ginger in the honey pot which sounds like a nice cold remedy. :)

I've had the pile o' leaves out for about a week now and am enjoying all the butt shots that come with that toy. Most of my albums are now full though so I've had to do a bit of pruning -- but of course there's no limit to the number of full screen shots you take, so I can collect more butts that way.

And last night I amused myself while watching some less-than-diverting TV by selecting appropriate "best shot" cover photos for each cat. I tried to capture each cat's personality, as well as have a different toy and/or pose for each one.
 
That is how I have my cover shots now, but I'm thinking of changing it to face plants, so I can easily see what is missing.
 
I got Guy Furry's memento, now waiting for Peaches and Bob. Especially Bob. I hate that ugly cat metropolis!
 
I got rid of it as soon as I had Bob's memento too - but he was generous, I got it on only the 4th or 5th visit I think.
After having one or both of their objects out for weeks, I finally got Guy Furry and Conductor Whisker's mementos in the past couple of days.
I'm still trying to get quite a few mementos - Sassy Fran, Senor Don Gato, Kathmandu, Mr. Meowgi, Lady Meow Meow, Frosty (who has only paid me 3 visits, despite the fact I have had one or more of hsi objects out for months!), Sapphire & Jeeves (neither of whom have paid me a single visit), and then Rascal & Peaches.
