Milano 2026 ticket prices revealed

A pricing list for the Olympics in Milano Cortina 2026 has been published through their FAQs.

If this is meant to be the price for each event it's honestly shocking. I am not sure how they hope to sell out the Assago arena.

I also hate that there isn't any all event bundle.
Any thoughts from fellow Olympic veterans? I have only been to Sochi before, which was quite cheap in comparison (considered the location and the fact that it was 10 years ago).
 
Do we know who sets the prices? Is it the organiser or the ISU or do they work together to reach these decisions?
 
I went to the 2006 games in Torino and I believe that Category A tickets were around 420 euros, so considering 20 years of inflation, the ticket prices for 2026 don't seem far off. And there was no "all event" bundle just for figure skating. There were different bundles available through Co-Sport that packaged different sports together, but there was no discount on the prices.

Starting in April, 2025, both Olympic and Paralympic tickets will be available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis, without the need to register in advance.
The 2026 Games will be held across a large swath of northern Italy, with ice sports in Milan, Alpine skiing in Bormio and Cortina, snowboard and freestyle in Livigno, Nordic sports in Val di Fiemme and biathlon in Anterselva.
Questions remain over whether the sliding center in Cortina will be completed in time or if bobsled, luge and skeleton events will be moved to another track in Austria (Igls), Switzerland (St. Moritz) or New York (Lake Placid).

It was an insanely expensive event all the way around (my hotel bill was :yikes: ) but I wrote it off as a once in a lifetime experience from which I concluded that while it was exciting to be at an Olympic Games, for someone whose main interest is figure skating, the World Championships are a much better value. Everything is less expensive and you get to watch far more skating, including practices.
 
FWIW (as a way of comparison) category A tickets for the women's team final in gymnastics in Paris were about 600 euros...700 total when they added in the taxes and fees.
 
At least in Vancouver, there was no all event option. They don’t want the same 20k people to see the same sport.

That's how I see things too. I've been to 3 Worlds (2025 will be my 4th) and I know there's much more to see for the money but I've never been to an Olys and Italy is a country I want to visit. I had been planning to try for Men's FS, RD and FD....that would be about $1700 USD (plus fees) for Cat B (I hope they'll publish a seat map prior to ticket sales...did they do that for gym?). At least I've got some time to think about it. I saw a couple of IG posts that randomly passed through my feed of people who went to Paris and their total costs (for a few events plus hotel, airfare, etc) were in the $4-5K range, so that's what I'd been planning.

I figured on $15-20K for both of us. And I’ll go for both dance events, men and ladies finals. My cat is nice and will share his food with me when I’m really old.

ETA: I turn 70 that week and this is my celebration.

It’s not possible for me to go to a winter games, at least in the next 2
30 years. I feel like a summer games might be a bit more fun without the pressure of skating. I’m hoping to get to go at some point and just see whatever I get.

€1200 for the gala? They've got to be kidding. It's sort of sad that the bulk of the tickets go to the corporate sponsors of the Olympics, and the fans who support the sport for the previous three years and fifty weeks are essentially left out--unless they've got a trust fund to dip into.

Tell your empty-nester friend that even if he does get a job offer elsewhere, he should hold onto the apartment in Milan through the Olympics - he could make all his mortgage payments for the next couple years back in that month alone, I bet.

Sadly it's a rental! I've done the math to see if it's worth my taking over the lease and turning this into FSU-central :lol:, but I don't think so, especially since it would come unfurnished.
 
I’m guessing Nice 2030 will be even pricier so I need to start saving. I think my plan would be arrive before the games, attend the Team Event and then head home to watch the rest on TV. Probably the cheapest way to see all disciplines, albeit limited participants. Now watch, they will move the TE to the end.
