My daughter liked it. Said it was really good. But the critics aren't as impressed.

Usually, the critics aren’t far off from the general public, but sometimes they are . I think Eleanor the Great was a bit better than the critics’ score.

Speaking of critics, apparently After the Hunt is quite . I’ll probably go watch Good Fortune and some other movies that I need to catch up on or that are in DC in limited release.

So is Tron: Ares……actually good? Right now, I’m prioritizing watching all the “awards movies” I can plus other movies I typically would never miss. But Tron: Area just looks MEH so far.

Notable opening next week: October 15 - Ballad of a Small Player (Limited ), It Was Just an Accident () (Limited ).

October 17 - After the Hunt (Expands), Good Fortune , and Frankenstein (Limited ).

Frankenstein is a netflix movie so will be streaming soon

Yep - But it will be showing at the Landmark Cinemas in the DC area this weekend. The chatter I’ve seen from the festivals is that Frankenstein looks great on a movie screen but they are confused as to why this is going to mainly stream on Netflix. Especially considering that this is apparently del Toro’s “dream” project.

But of course I’m going to see this on Netflix, even if I get to see it now.
