Let's Talk Movies #36 - 2020 - Yep it is a new decade

Saw Nobidy 2 today. It was ok, had some fun fight scenes (the whole second half was basically one long fight) but nothing groundbreaking

Yeah, that's why I'm probably going to wait for streaming on this one. I enjoyed the first movie, but I'm thinking this one is just going to be more of the same, essentially, so I have no great urge to go see it in a theater.

I feel like a curmudgeon, but I only snickered twice at The Naked Gun. And I loved Airplane and Spaceballs. Oh well.

It wasn't as funny as I thought it was going to be. Overall I did enjoy it, but I wasn't laughing until I cried like I did with the original. Still, it had its moments. Liam Neeson is better at comedy than I realized, though Pam Anderson was funnier. I think it's sweet that they appear to have found real-life love. (Liam has been faithful to Natasha's memory for long enough to be able to move on without criticism of any kind, IMO.)

I really, really want to see "The Roses," as Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman are two of my favorite actors. Beyond that, I don't see much either.

More Highlander news: Karen Gillan has joined the cast as Connor MacLeod's (mortal) wife, Heather. Looks like shooting will start sometime toward the end of September.

I loved the War of the Roses, but I am not sure about this new one, from what I read about it.

Now that I am free from my prison, I want to go to the movies. But I've missed so many that I can't decide what to see. Some of the ones I want to see are on the verge of being on streaming but are still in the theaters. I am interested in Superman, Fantastic 4, Elio, and Freakier Friday

I watched "The Instigators" on Apple tonight. I like Doug Limon movies. They can be implausible but certainly entertaining. And this included a stellar cast and a lot of action. I also thought there were interesting snippets of the score that would work well for skaters.
