The interesting thing is that the movie is doing well domestically but not so great internationally. All this talk about it being too “woke”, but maybe Superman is too American?

Same. There is just so much I can't wrap my head around and understand. It's still baffling to me that certain people would be all up in arms about Superman being woke just because they decided to change his tag line. (And don't even get me started on the term "woke." It's deeply offensive to me in and of itself. But that's a completely different discussion.) I guess I'm just not understanding where this tempest in a teacup came from. It's an alien concept to me. LOL.
Based on the comments here I did go and see Superman today. I enjoyed it. I felt it was much better than the Henry Cavill movies (they were just way too dark even though Cavill was). I did like the dog (almost the canine version of the goats from Thor). David Corenswet who I thought was very good reminded me a bit of Christopher Reeves in his voice and Nicholas Hoult was suitably psycho as Lex Luthor. The action scenes were pretty exciting. So overall I was glad I saw it and came away satisfied with my movie experience.

I saw it. Was entertaining. Nothing new, and no one under age 18 got eaten by a dino. I did hold my breath a few times wondering what would happen.Saw Jurassic World Rebirth this weekend. I mainly wanted to go to scratch my Jonathan Bailey itch, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the whole cast. ScarJo slipped comfortably into her old "female action hero" shoes, without making it feel like a retread. And the bad guy met a fitting end. I would recommend it.
