Laval, Quebec will host 2018 Skate Canada International

Erin and I will be staying in an apartment in the Saint-Henri neighborhood and plan on taking the metro to and from Laval as once we get there on Wednesday, we will have no desire to move the car till its time to leave on Sunday.

Can't believe its just 3 weeks away. After almost pushing 90 degrees here in NOLA today, I'm totally ready for some cooler weather.

So it looks like St. Hubert is a sponsor of Place Bell.

Does this mean we can buy St. Hubert chicken in the arena? :D

I would love that but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I think so. I haven't actually used these services here since I live far away in the burbs (I'm planning to crash at my brother's during SC) and most things within the city are metro accessible. But I see TeoTaxi all the time, more than Uber I think. (I only noticed tons of Ubers when I went to Leeds in the UK.)

I am sad that I can't do this trip or really any others this season (family issues, can't leave). I am inspired to go to Montreal Worlds in 2020 though. I love Quebec City, so I have over a year to brush up and get back my French! I love Canada and they always put on an exceptional competition. I might just cave and go to JGPF and SGPF in Vancouver if things are better on the homefront, but that looks extremely doubtful. But Canada is GREAT for skating events, anything in the US short of Sectionals/Regionals is pretty bad, with expensive tickets even though when you get there all the great seats are empty (corporate giveaways?). I used to go to nearly everything, but I was single then, and now I have to plan a skating trip with DH. I am soured on US events. No thanks. :(

If I want to buy a ticket on the same side as the judges, am I picking the side with the penalty box, or the opposite side?

Joannie Rochette will be the athlete ambassador to promote Skate Canada International. She will be at the event doing media : Link

The judges side is the side with the players benches (opposite side to the penalty boxes).

If you're looking for an all-event ticket, I'm selling my aisle seat that is on the judges side in Section 102, 3 rows behind the judges stand, for $200. Right now on Ticketmaster, you would spend more than that for a seat on the judges side by the time you bought just 3 out of the 5 sessions.

Thank you for the info! Regarding the ticket, so far I can only make one event due to work and distance from Laval :( Your all-event ticket will surely be popular at that price.
