Kenny Rogers has Died

So sad, I wasn’t a big country music fan, but I did like a lot of his music. I can still, aft all these years sing The Gambler from memory.?

I am not a country music fan but I liked some of his songs (Lucille, Through the years, etc.). R.I.P. Kenny Rogers.

I have always loved his song "Ruby (Don't Take Your Love To Town)" with First Edition. Hard to reconcile the edginess of that song with his later work, but yeah.

I was today years old when I learned that "The Coward of the County" is about a man who kills his wife's rapists. I heard that song a thousand times -- can't believe I never picked up on that, even if I was a kid!

I'm going to miss Kenny so much. I loved all his duets with Dolly, Sheena, Dottie and Kim. I especially love his duet with Kim Carnes. I saw Kenny in concert several years ago, and I fell in love with the song Don't Fall in Love With a Dreamer. Kim Carnes actually wrote the song, and I still listen to the song on occasion.

Rest in Peace, Kenny Rogers. You will be missed. ??
