High risk high reward strategy is scary. If she’s on jr world team, hope they rein it in for SP.

Note that the axel jump in junior women is required to be a 2a. So the only way she can include her 3a in the SP is to put it in the combo.

She can’t use Glenn’s approach in juniors.

Looking at the coaches at Ice Works, it appears to be Mojca Kopac-Tiernan who represented Slovenia

Yes, Mojca Kopač (a memorable skater in her day, IMO) - confirmed by Gracie in the booth to me during a break in the event.

Kaya trains in Aston, PA where Gracie used to be coached by Alex Zahradnicek - he coaches Kaya now. Kaya was coached by her mother when she was young.

I just finished watching the junior short program. By far my favorites are Emilia and Annika. Great great skating, I could watch those two skaters over and over.

I was most excited to see Sophie. But now that I’ve seen her yet another time and watching her amongst everyone else, she does need to work on presentation and her connection to the music. I guess that stood out for me today more than ever. It cannot be about the triple axels.
