Ladies: BEL, CZE, DEN, FRA, HKG, ITA, NED, RUS, SVK, SLO, ESP, SWE, USA

OMG the that will ensue if Chen beats Yuzu again, because you know it will only be because the ISU hates Yuzu and fixed the judging panel since no JPN judge in Mens.

USA and RUS judges are represented in every category; CAN on two panels; JAP on one; KOR on one; FRA on three (most importantly ice dance); CHN on two (most importantly pairs); ITA on two; GBR on three (most importantly ice dance).

What up with CZE on three? Do they have any top skaters these days aside from the Brezina sibs? Rhetorical question, as I know that's not a requirement at all. Other less heavyweight feds: ESP on three panels; AUT on two panels; SWE on two panels; UKR on two panels; FIN on two panels; SUI on two panels...

What up with CZE on three? Do they have any top skaters these days aside from the Brezina sibs? Rhetorical question, as I know that's not a requirement at all. Other less heavyweight feds: ESP on three panels; AUT on two panels; SWE on two panels; UKR on two panels; FIN on two panels; SUI on two panels...

Per rule 521 of the Special Regulations and Technical Rules, you don't need to have a top skater, just a skater/pair/dance team that competed at the previous year's Championship and completed one segment.

So every member federation with a couple or pair that completes the Short Program is entered into the draw pool for the next year's Championship, even if they don't have a skater that ends up qualifying for this year's Championship.

And just wait until figure skating powerhouse countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Ireland, Luxembourg, and Andorra have judges that pass the ISU exam in the next 3 to 5 years, as many of them got their first judges at the International level this season....the pool gets even deeper.
