Very nice performance. Yu-Feng used the music so well, and hit the musical highlights, and matched the mood/tone as well.

The program started well, but the step out on the flip seemed to throw things out of balance for the rest of the program. Whatever the injury issue she did well to manage it during the performance.

Stefania has some nice qualities in her skating, but the jumps are not as strong as others, and particularly the Axel technique is lacking.

Medal ceremony "gifts" include floral arm rings and pink elephants.

The floral arm rings are traditional Thai garlands frequently used to mark special occasions:

Exciting event given how bunched up the scores were in the short.

Mao - it is criminal that she is forced to stay junior another year due to the inane age rule. Perhaps this was just a flukey skate and a crap program but wondering if she's finding it hard to stay motivated for yet another junior season.

Okada - she's pleasant and solid but underwhelming. And using an awful Miss Saigon cut.

Hwang - loved her reaction in the k&c.

Bath - how did that happen?! All her combos seemed very intentional - so confused what went on there. Seems like she'll have to stay junior another year too which sucks cuz that 3A in a senior short could be deadly.

Jin - Not on my bingo card having HER end the night with the highest TES but there you have it. Don't like the cabbage color dress and butterfly/flower appliques.

Lee - if she's going to channel Ashley Wagner she needs to bring a lot more FACE.

Ezhova - she's like a tier 2 Russian woman who would finish 12th at their nationals even with a clean 7-triple skate.

Gladki - jumps are extreme cringe and what TF were they thinking with this music and dress. Personally I find her jumps unwatchable but she has nice performance qualities. Needs better packaging and technical work.

Jurka - glad she came back in the long. Love her springy old fashioned jumps.

Nemirovsky - she could be such a star. Too bad how this competition turned out for her. Obsessed with her jumps.

Tsai - loved her music.

Is that Cheng Peng with Ariel Guo? She look so familiar
I've been really distracted by how much Ariel's coach looks like her! But she's not on her bio, so maybe just a lookalike.
Looking at Cheng Peng’s IG stories, it seems to confirm that she is there with Guo!
So cool seeing her and Han Yan coaching on the JGP!

You could see her rushing through the first few jumping passes which led to the error on the loop, and then threw in the flip-toeloop combination which was not planned. That 4th combination was very costly.

There is clear superiority in some areas for Mao above the rest of the junior field, but I was left kind of cold by the performance today. Maybe without the big elements it left the program a bit flat.

Emilia started out strong, then had some issues. There's a giant pink thing on her leg that I at first thought was part of her skirt, but now I think it's a bandage. Oh, Mark confirms it's a bandage.

I just watched ….. she started out so confident and rocksolid and then just seem to let it go. I thought the pink thing we’re biker shorts at first.
