I dislike all versions of Willy Wonka, but Sheiko is absolutely adorable in his little Wonka outfit! :) ETA: His ISU bio says he has a Count of Monte Cristo free program -- cannot WAIT to see that costume!

Unfortunately, I have to leave shortly because of a physiotherapy appointment. I will catch up later but leaving a 🇨🇦 for Grayson :D

Vaclavik - strong start with a good 3a & 3lo; but then only a 2z+3t for his combo; still will easily lead.

the step sequence from Weiler was glorious. pity about struggles in the jumps. great potential

Gartung
ah interesting - this event will decide if he will go to the Olympic qualifier or if Starostin is going

Gartung

3axel - pressure? What pressure
good 3loop with lots of air
perfect 3z3t
he is not the most expressive of skaters but good basics, nice big movements and glide
that should go into the lead
but with what is still coming in the group, it might not stay there for very long

Li

stepped out of 3a, he's creating some interesting and unique shapes, no problem with 3r, 3z-3t, fully extended camel position with beautiful port de bras, expressive steps. Excellent!

now my favorite Junior
Yanhao Li
wild 3axel fall-out
3loop
Gartungs jumps and Yan Haos skating ould be a wonderful combo
3z3t
great entry into the flying sit
multidirectional skating is really his forte
wonderful program, pity about the axel

(to be honest, I would send Gartung, if it were my decision - much more long-term potential)
Same, but I've been saying that since last winter, lol. Yes, I was operating on the assumption Starostin wouldn't get the job done in Boston.
How have I missed the existence of Gartung?!
LOL! And he has a couple of quads already!

Just getting started here, about ready to see the 4th skater... hope to get caught up soon!

Mori
only 15 years of age
3a fingertips down
3z3t - the lutz was very nice
3l
not bad

Nakata

3a, 3r, some nice flair and panache to his movement, 3f-3t and held that exiting edge, a little sloppy in the steps, but excellent choreography and brought the house down

Rio Nakata
still only 16 - such a veteran already
3a - has to fight a bit but clean
great speed into 3l
3f3t - the toe had lots and lots of air - -like he could have done a quad!
clearly heads and shoulders above the rest today

What a fantastic SP from Rio! This program is going to EAT it hard by Jr Worlds! It's already eating hard, but it's going to be AMAZING in another 6 months.
