I don’t think Jade looks bored. She just looks tough as nails. She reminds me of Canada‘s top gymnast, Ellie Black. They both have very stoic expressions. They kind of promote nerves of steel because they are so focused.

Sorry but I can’t get behind an unproven in international competition newly minted senior with their first major test at the Olympics. Recipe for disaster. I’m still scarred over Canada doing that with Ava Stewart in the last Olympics and how horrific that turned out.

Good point! Maybe Jocelyn she at least has some good international experience and her beam is excellent will be the highest of the night and might need her

I feel the same way. It's bad enough that we have lost Shilese and Skye, but I'll be sad if these are the replacements. I'll take Leanne Wong over Joscelyn.

OMG Roberson and Rivera tied on beam over two days, first place on the apparatus. If Roberson beats her in the AA they'll probably give it to her. OMG my brain hurts.
And it makes me sad that Wong won't make the team even after losing three contenders to injury. 2028??

Remind me, how does she score internationally? I’m trying to say this nicely, but she had all the hallmarks of someone who would be absolutely destroyed by an international panel. I’m blanking on what they did with her at worlds last year though? Did she even do beam in quals?

I haven't been judging them but they seem pretty reasonable. Really good routines are scoring in the low 8s which is pretty normal for international competition.
