Just saw F. Richard's new men's gymnastics uniform. Not sure that I agree that it shows the same body line as the uni and tights, but I like the idea. Now to alter the women's uniform to something that covers more of the butt and privates. I liked the German ladies' unitard: it showed off their body lines and looked great too. I think that long sleeves and minimal bottoms with sides cut up to their armpits is weird. The skimpy leotards take away from the athletics that they accomplish. Women's gymnastics is not a pole dance. JMO

I thought the uniform looked more like what most sports use these days although now that I think about it track seems to have gone skin tight. Hopefully he starting a conversation that will lead to something that’s better than the sad sack version of the men’s uniforms today.

I can hardly stand to watch NCAA women’s gymnastics any longer. Between the ear-splitting shrieks/celebration after every completed routine (good or bad), being forced to see half (or more) of their backsides hanging out the back of their leotard, and floor routines that are mostly dancing with only two actual gymnastics passes, I’ve lost my interest.

Biles has said that she prefers the leotard because she thinks it makes her look taller with longer legs than a unitard does. She thinks everyone should choose what they are comfortable wearing.

I thought the unitard had to be ankle length, but I read something about shorts in one of the rules. I think the bike short style of unitard might risk the legs rolling up.
