It’s going to suck if anyone blows team finals.Ugggghhhhhhhh. Welp, it’s going to really suck if Nedoroscik blows team finals.
Shane looked so sad. It's got to be tough to finish ahead of guys who made the team and to be so close under the selection criteria. When he finished, he had to think he had a great chance.Honestly, I know it’s an honor to be a traveling alternate, but it’s kind of brutal every year to send them out and have them stand with the people who made the team knowing they were so close
I think the only time the alternates are happy when it’s a young kid who doesn’t expect to be named at all.Honestly, I know it’s an honor to be a traveling alternate, but it’s kind of brutal every year to send them out and have them stand with the people who made the team knowing they were so close
Don’t think there is going to be much suspense about that with all the injuries except for maybe the 5th spot.Tomorrow’s team selection will be the death of me![]()

I feel so bad for Yul. Not even an alternate
True but I’m a major fan of CEO Leanne so it’ll be rough for meDon’t think there is going to be much suspense about that with all the injuries except for maybe the 5th spot.
This whole announcement process is cringe. Which is why I'm happy for the figure skating team to just get a text message rather than put them and their families through public drama. (I remember they tried a big announcement of the 2014 men's team at the gala and then the sound didn't even work....big fail.)The script for this announcement is so cringe
The selection committee chose him. Blame them.Sure. It’ll suck a lot more if we brought a guy to do one routine and he misses it, which he does sometimes.
I’m sure there will be mistakes in team finals. No one else is on this team for essentially one routine.

it's not enouuuggghhhh 사랑해 Yul (no i'm not being dramatic i just rewatched my favorite k-drama so all i know is "i love you" and "let's eat")There are three more non-traveling alternates. I’m sure one will be him.
They're not listed on the USA Gymastics announcement:Do we know who the two non-traveling alternates are yet?
And with all the shit going on in the world, that God cares more about a sporting event. This is nothing personal against Brody, but it's my biggest pet peeve when athletes say that they're only there because of the glory of God. It always just sounds like "God loves me more than anyone else."

Okay, can we lay off the criticism of ANY athlete who chooses to thank God for their success? It is so incredibly difficult to compete at the elite/pro level in ANY sport - the physical injury and pain, the discipline, the dedication and commitment to reaching a level very few are capable of... If an athlete wants to share with us, in their moment of glory, gratitude for the emotional/mental/spiritual support that their faith has given them in achieving something really remarkable... Just respect it. Let it be. Be happy for them.Oh good, we have Brody here to tell us how he is God‘s favorite again.

That's not the way to look at this. At least, it's not the way I look at it.I always want to be like “there are children dying. Why is God worrying about your sport career so hard?”
You’re right. I have an aversion to organized religion that colors my view. That's not the way to look at this. At least, it's not the way I look at it.
The God I was raised to believe in is omnipresent, omniscient, and all-powerful. Why would you think that God CAN'T care about all the worries and troubles in the world? I really don't understand why anyone is so intent on tearing down and criticizing anyone else for having such strong faith.
