GPdF 2025 PBP - Pairs FS: “A Bird In The Hand Is Worth Two In The Plus (GOE)”

Literally everything in Faula & Belle's program looks like hopes and prayers with the occasional head bobble and Egyptian arm and lots of breaks. Lifts are scary, his blades clunk along.

Very striking couple, not sure how much more they can progress because it doesn't seem to really be going anywhere.

HAHAHAHAHAHA her face. Shouldn't laugh but they were completely stuck in place.

Faula/Belle - 3tw - meh; SBS 3s - good; throw 3lo - despite the lean, she landed it cleanly! First lift - decent; SBS 2t+1a+1a - 'nuff said; BODS - interesting exit; throw 3s - down she went and had to grab the boards to get back up; second lift - fine; choreo seq - slow as mud to start but it gets a little interesting; last lift - also slow; pairs spin - doesn't match the intensity of the music because when do pairs spins at the end of the program ever?

His costume is a real sin against figure skating couture. Surely there's a French designer who could do better.

Triple Twist Lift 1 - poor catch
3S
Throw 3Lo
Axel Lasso Lift 3
2T+1A+1A+SEQ
Back Outside Death Spiral 2

Throw 3S - fall
Reverse Lasso Lift 4 (3 after review)
Choreo Sequence

Hand-to-Hip Lift 4
Pair Combo Spin B (no value after review) - lost control at the end

A bit rough around the edges, and the program is cheesy, but they don't lean in to it enough to make it work.

-1.00 = Falls
94.01 = 1st Place
148.10 = 1st Place

What an ending! Nothing like the music quickening and pulsating as you sputter and fall out of position in your spin. :rofl:

So yesterday they skated to C/B's Alien music, today they are skating to Snake. C/B tribute season? :)
Clearly they've chosen the LopBri, DemLeM side in the French ice dance fight, lol.

Listen, they really haven't competed at many Big Events, and they're young for pairs. I'm gonna be generous and put some of this down to stagefright, I like them a lot. I think they have the potential to improve, and it's not like they have that much internal competition, since Bouvart & Vouillamoz switched to Switzerland

Camille's jumps need an exorcist or a miracle worker at this point.

Les Kovs - 3tw - good enough; SBS 3s - down she goes; SBS 3t+2t - she doubled the 1st one... first lift - okay; BODS - decent; pairs combo spin - I'll never criticize a team that buries this in the middle of the program - plus it maintained decent speed throughout; throw 3f - down; second lift - fine; choreo seq - eh; throw 3s - clean; last lift - fine.

Well, I'm not sure the rock style suits them all that much. Luckily, I don't expect we'll see this FS in the Olympics.

I like Audrey's dress, thiugh I could do without the cutouts. Her bun should be up higher, though.

Hmmmm. ShiNag can put out a decent skate. Maybe that’s what USFS saw at the fake comp.
