Obviously without the jump content yet but for less than a year together I think they still look pretty good. Not wildly mismatched and on timing pretty well together. She fought for the late throw, lifts are decent. Work in progress.

Music doesn't really relate to what they are doing, but it never really does for most pairs.

Megan Wessenberg/Denys Strekalin 🇫🇷
Rank after SP: 8
Coach: S. Berton, R. Brubaker, B. Massot
Music: Lost Without You by Freya Ridings

Double Twist 2 (3 after review) - catch was awkward, and Megan almost went down backwards
2T+1A+1A+SEQ - Denys doubled
2S
Reverse Lasso Lift 4

Throw 2F - pitched forward
Back Outside Death Spiral B

Axel Lasso Lift 4
Throw 3S - forward lean, hung on
Hand-to-Hip Lift 3
Choreo Sequence
Pair Combo Spin 4

Clearly still a developmental team, and a lot of work needed on their skating, and connection.

88.80 = 1st Place
139.21 = 1st Place

Wessenberg/Strekalin - 3tw - she nearly went back on her bum on the landing; SBS 3t+1a+1a - she doubled, just like a good US pairs lady; SBS 2s - those looked deliberate; first lift - nice; throw 2f - 'nuff said; BODS - meh; second lift - solid enough; this song sounds like something Ziegler/Kiefer would have loved; throw 3s - decent enough; last lift - well, the lifts are certainly their strongest elements altogether; choreo seq - even the judges are unimpressed; pairs spin - soooo slow entering it.

Well, if Telemaque/Coulon can't figure out where things are going wrong, Wessenberg/Strekalin may have the inside track on France's lone pairs spot in Nice 2030.
