I never listen to interviews in languages I don't understand so I'm always so shocked when I hear a skater's voice for the first time speaking in English. I remember Carolina's english interview at 2018 worlds, going "that's her voice??". Had the same reaction here.
Idk what to expect from Nationals. Hard to imagine what Anna could pull out in a few days if she isn't doing full run thrus but these girls are tough as nails so I won't count her out.

Oh no, Dmitry sounds like a CV long hauler. My friend's husband is a long hauler and only after four months was able to walk around the block of his house.
It takes some serious lung capacity to get through a men's long program. I don't think the inability to skate one briefly after having a serious respiratory illness is enough data to assume one is a CV long hauler. Sometimes fans proclaim a cold enough reason for guys not to get through their LPs.

Dmitri could barely get through a long program even when completely healthy!
Poor guy was either injured or sick all season long I wonder what his longest training streak was. Certainly not enough to be a viable competitor this season. I hope he does what he needs to and is able to come storming back next season

I don’t know, but for example in her recent interview for Channel 1 Evgenia Medvedeva said that it’s easier for her to get back in shape when she knows she has an event to skate at, it motivates her. They won’t have to skate their actual programs, do difficult lifts, spins, twizzles and full run-throughs. It’s a fairytale for children with lot’s of other skaters involved + decorations, acrobats and etc. An opportunity to get back in shape, get some positive emotions, spend some time in the mountains and, most importantly, get some $$$.
