He had another surgery? Is he trying to catch up on Pluschenko with the amount of repair that can be done on an elite skater?

I wouldn't be surprised if they retired after this season. They have two Olympic medals, so it is not as if they were pushed to get something that they haven't achieved yet. Russia will still have Tarasova/Morozov, but the remaining pairs don't look like they are getting anywhere (Zabijako/Enbert may look very elegant, but technical difficulty is quite low comparing with the top teams, and Astakhova/Rogonov have not been very consistent for the last two seasons). It may be a good opportunity for Boikova/Kozlovsky to move to seniors after this season and have four years to try to push through to the top.

As he said in another interview, they had their usual off-season, taking it in turns to heal their injuries

As for Boikova/Kozlovsky , there were some rumors that they will do both seniors and juniors this season and that they even may go to Olympics or Worlds (more luckily) as Russian third pair
 
I saw this posted on another forum, it's a recent clip of Radio. Looks like her skating skills have improved, arms a bit less possessed but hard to tell. :cheer:

Also I've read that Tuktamysheva was 2nd to Kostner with a 72 at the Cup of Saint Petersburg (SP)? :kickass: awesome!

When I interviewed Boikova/Kozlovskii earlier, they said that they plan to do some international senior events (Challengers or senior B): http://www.goldenskate.com/2017/06/boikova-and-kozlovskii/
Also, I'm sure they will compete at senior Nationals again like they did last year.
They are technically strong and quite consistent, I think they do have a chance of getting the third spot. They have improved quite a bit and look more like a pair now rather than two single skaters doing pairs. The Russian Federation might push them if they seem ready as their field of pairs is not as deep as it used to be at least in seniors.
Volosozhar/Trankov most likely won't come back. Stolbova/Klimov are struggling with injuries and I don't see them continuing past Pyeongchang. Zabiiako/Enbert and Astakhova/Rogonov are not consistent. That leaves Tarasova/Morozov as a top pair. We'll also see how Efimova/Korovin will develop since switching to Oleg Vasiliev and training in Tamara Moskvina's new school in St. Petersburg.

That's not good news, unfortunately. I feel really sorry for them. They have so much potential and we've seen great performances. I hope they can recover in time and will be able to skate well in Pyeongchang.

:lol: The good news is that she scored a 72. The bad news is that Caro beat her with a 3-2 combo. In Russia. Or maybe that's good news for Kostner. Or somebody.

It's good news for both of them (but especially Kostner)! It looks like she went clean with a 3T3T, a 72 in August is good news for Tuk when it comes to putting herself in contention for the Olympic team. :cheer: they're basically tied but Kostner just edged her out.
 
When people take inspiration from Jason Brown it doesn't bother me, but usually I prefer it to be in the skating and not the bun.

I do think it's cute on them as a pair though. Ksenia wears the pants and short hair in (every) their relationship, he can have the beautiful elegant man-bun to balance it all out. :psoty: they are androgynous, different, and chic :D

I try to organize myself for the European Chanpionship, but the only information found on www.isu.org/en/single-and-pair-skating-and-ice-dance/calendar-of-events/2018/01/european-figure-skating-championships

The anti-doping tests for these Championships will be performed by an independent foreign organization mandated by the ISU.

Considering the pending conclusions related to the McLaren Report, ISU Regulations, Rule 127, paragraph 7 may apply which includes the following provision: “The Council may, for emergency, safety or other serious reasons, either upon request of the organizing ISU Member or on its own initiative, cancel the definite allotment or cancel the Championships at any time.”

Is there someone who has an idea which venue they could be held? Is there a chance I can look at some hotel that might be not to far away
