From Russia with love [#23]: Spring/Summer 2016

I got really confused by this interview with TAT. The host is basically picturing her as a victim of state wrongdoing, disrespectful treatment from sporting authorities, she asks her several times: "do you regret you came back to Russia?", "why did you come back?", etc..
I've always thought fs people (feds, athletes, coaches, media, fans) have been referring to and treating Tarasova with the highest reverence and respect. I mean, it's enough to watch how Moscow girls were stopping by to greet her when drawing starting number at Nats. :D
She's main figure skating commentator on national TV, she's national team consultant and coach, she is a judge in that national kids contest, now she's training men's national champion, the journalists are interviewing her all the time and so on...
What am I missing?

I don't want to harm any Russians or any Russian posters here and anywhere. But they are so special. Many of them hate many Russian celebrities, many Russian famous athletes. For example they easily talking about "moral" but they don't know any exact information, just prejudices. They have no right to talk about it especially about their personal life. The journalists are also attacking the athletes many times....

And about Tarasova: she is such a trigger player in Russian figure skating. ;)

I think Russians are special, because they are very honest, including interviews.
The thing is, that interviewer was not only digging deep for information, she was also trying to impose her point of view of TAT being a victim and overall tough conditions for sports in Russia.
She suggested Olympic facilities in Sochi stay empty and made big eyes when TAT said they are widely used for kids development in sports and academics.
I got a feeling the host had some negative agenda in this interview, which caused she was borderline rude towards Tarasova in some moments.

Oh, I understand.

As part of the Moscow Anniversary Day celebrations, the Luzhniki Arena turned up the excitement for the Vivat Russia! champions’ figure skating event ... [at] Luzhniki Small Sports Arena is an 8,700-seat indoor facility with a long history of hosting memorable events.
Anyone have more info on this show?

TV Channel "Dozhd" ("Rain") is officially a "left-wing" anti current government TV channel, which is not a critique but an explanation for the "angle" of their interviews. It does not have a large audience segment. The purpose of such interviews (on this channel) is not to learn about the guest, but to link the issues surrounding the guest to all possible negative aspects of the current government/economy/society.

The interviewer, K. Sobchak, is also a "questionable figure", and often acts like a "shock-jock" who asks provocative questions, not only on this channel, but in her previous positions on other channels and shows which had nothing to do with politics.

Her father is a former Mayor of St. Petersburg, she is well educated and smart, and yet is said to be an attention/fame seeker and reminds many of "Paris Hilton" in her conduct. Many think she is "oligarch's daughter who feels superior to others and allows her self to act crazy and insult people".

Few days ago i had a conversation about "Dozhd" with another poster.... if you care to read it, location: "Politically Incorrect" - page 8, posts 231, 232, 233, 234, 235, 236.

Her behaviour towards an older women and guest (seemingly even a friend) was obnoxious.
Tarasova is not my cup of tea, but I felt sorry for her watching this interview.
Ms. Sobchak gives an impression of rude, condescending individual. (n)
