Quartettogelato.ca is their website and may have clips as well. They are a fabulous group quite talented and don’t fit easily into any one category. Of course, I am partial to their oboists, both past and present!
I saw them in concert a few years ago - they are FAB. I was particularly taken with the accordionist, Alexander Sevastian, who sadly, died a couple of months ago. :(

Another idea: Although G/P did Bond already, I've always thought a James Bond medley including the main 007 theme, Goldeneye (Tina Turner) and Die Another Day (Madonna) would be a great fit for a dance team -- and I could really see Z/G shining to this.

Thinking about this during a slow day at work, another possible idea would be the soundtrack to Beetlejuice. It's been used in skating before, but not in any senior free dances I've ever seen. It satisfies all the bullet points and I know many audiences would like it.

This popped into my mind because I initially wanted to suggest the soundtrack to Suspiria (which is probably my favorite film music of all time) but it's not exactly uplifting or audience-friendly. However, if anyone is looking for music for skating programs that are not free dances, I highly recommend Suspiria.

Similar in that vein, Edward Scissorhands. I don't think anyone has every skated to it in any of the disciplines.

Yes Sylvain Bouillere did at Cdn Nats, 2006 but it wouldn't have been seen internationally.

I think someone suggested Queen earlier. I think Crazy Little Thing Called Love would get people clapping along. And Another One Bites the Dust has good attitude, though maybe not together.

I also saw someone suggest something by Heart. I wasn't familiar with their music, so I listened to a bunch on Spotify. I like Heart, though it isn't really "uplifting".

As for Madonna, Hung Up might work.

Does anybody besides me think that with crackin' music selections and choreography, that Zagorski/Guerreiro could overtake Stepanova/Bukin within the next season or two to become Russia #1 dance team? They are a most interesting dance couple and appear to be very versatile with respect to program themes and styles.

Hopefully they will. Stepanova's skating skills are so bad... :(

Wouldn’t take much! They are already only 4 points behind s/b internationally due to how bad a skater Stepanova is! It’s perfectly reasonable to assume that because of how bad Stepanova is z/g outscore s/b internationally while always being beaten by s/b in Russia. Like what happened with I/k and b/s sometimes. Once again it looks like Russia is pushing a team with a woman with a catastrophic flaw. Bobrova posture was better than Stepanova skating skills.

Hopefully they will. Stepanova's skating skills are so bad... :(

The flaw is as extreme and disastrous as bobrova. B/s never went anywhere for Russia and neither will s/b unless the flaw is fixed obviously and with great attention. It may be humiliating for Stepanova to learn how to skate at her age but it must be done.

I think Tiffany would be a fabulous Bond Girl. Perfect casting IMO. Now that you've put the idea in my head I want to see it badly.

Tiffany had a small role in a French movie in 2013 ("Je fais le mort" = I play dead). Is there any music there that could be used ? It's maybe the mother of all stupid ideas but you never know... Taz, do you have the DVD ? I assume you do but just in case ;)
Edit : I checked who made the soundtrack. I don't know who Bruno Coulais is but I just learnt that the list of soundtracks he made is longer than Dick Button's career !

Was sitting in a cafe when "Orinoco Flow" by Enya started playing and it made me think that very few top skaters have ever skated to her music (I only remember Woetzel/Steuer using "No Holly For Miss Quinn").

Some nice tracks on her album "Watermark" which "Orinoco Flow" is from like "Storms In Africa", "Exile", etc. Not sure if this is what Tiff is looking for though. ;)
I always thought Book of Days would make a perfect SP (not for dance I guess, maybe pairs) but I love the idea of an Enya FD!
